Last season was definitely one to remember. I finally got over my sophomore slump and found a role in the defense. I was finding my way into games, even playing behind a guy like Cal Thrush. I was finally catching a groove until I broke my thumb against Coffman, which would end up limiting me for the remainder of the season. My favorite moments from last season would have to be the first Olentangy Liberty game. It was just such a crazy game going back and forth, and the way it ended on a 4th down stop was perfect. All-Star Game: Muskingum Valley 34 Licking County 15

Image
I want to thank the people from Licking Heights for the program that included the rosters.* Last night I made the drive to Hornet Field, home of the Licking Heights Hornets, to watch the 43rd Annual Licking County vs. Muskingum Valley all-star game. Facing a fourth and eight on their first drive, Muskingum Valley would go for it and make that decision right with a 43-yard pass completion from Max Lyall (Tri-Valley) to a wide-open Bentley Hanson (New Lexington). With 7:22 showing on the clock, Jaydan Wallace (Tri-Valley) waltzed into the end zone with a 2-yard run. Matt Harper (Maysville) was true to his point after kick to make this a 7-0 game. The drive went for 68 yards on 9 plays. Lyall ended the quarter with a 16-yard pass to Evan Anderson (Sheirdan). Just .51 seconds into the second quarter, Muskingum Valley would score again. Isaiah Stephens (New Lexington) found Hanson wide open once again as the Licking County secondary looked like they had never played the game before fo...

This is not really an in-season memory, but I was talking to my coach when I got my first offer. He was really happy for me; that’s probably my best memory from last year. What was the toughest part of the 2024 season? Watching my team lose games and not being able to help them because I was not on the field. What will you miss the most from the 2025 class? I’ll miss playing with that team. We were a very close group, and now that I’ve transferred schools, I have to build new relationships with a new team. What are your per...

2025 Interview with Giorgios Kaberidis from Glenoak High School

Image
Giorgios Kaberidis Glenoak High School WR, Corner, Safety 2026 6 ft, 150 Jersey Number: 6 HUDL LINK: http://www.hudl.com/v/2RuHrZ How important is it to you that the team not only gets along on the field but off of it too? Absolutely, it is very important to me because a better bond off the field allows for more chemistry on it. Being a team player is a big thing; there’s no being selfish in football, and that starts with building connections with the people you’re fighting with every day. We do plenty of team-bonding activities and love to go out and get food together. What does "community buy-in" mean to you? Everyone shows up with full effort and ready to work; if everyone is on the same page with that every day, it’ll be a good year. Buying in means putting in work when people aren’t around; buying in means having the same end goal and everyone doing what they can to reach that goal. To buy in, people need to have the mentality that every down they need to go 100%; th...

Last season I ended up fracturing my wrist in week three and played up until week 12, but some highlights for sure were beating DeSales and winning the state championship. In watching some of your HUDL package, your pass-blocking skills look very sound. Is there a college or pro lineman that you try and pattern your game after? Yes, different bits and pieces of Quenton Nelson and Tyler Booker, both stand-up players. What is the best part of being on the offensive line? The best part is for sure the camaraderie and trust we have between each other. What do you feel is the toughest part of bei...
