Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.

I will always remember being in the locker room before my first varsity football game and thinking that I was finally here playing varsity football for Solon, just like the players I had looked up to when I was little. I remember the team prayer before the game and the warmups, and I will never forget the feeling of going out there under the lights to play for my town for the first time. Another great memory was when we avenged our loss to Benton in week 6 by beating them in the first round of playoffs.

What are your personal goals for the 2025 season?

1000 Receiving Yards, First Team All-State WR, First Team All-State OLB.

What goals are you setting for your team?

Win state and go undefeated.

WR/OLB/DB Of the three positions that you are listed as playing, which one do you feel you are best at?

Wide Receiver

What makes you a good teammate?

I always try my best to stay positive and bring energy to the team even when we are in a tough situation.

What was the highlight of the 2024 season?

We were playing against our rivals, Mount Vernon, at home in week 4, and we were winning by 1 point in the fourth quarter. Mount Vernon had just scored a touchdown and was going for a 2-point conversion to take the lead. We played great defense and stopped them from scoring and went on to win the game 7 to 6.

What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?

I injured my popliteal tendon in my left knee in practice 2 days before our state quarterfinal game vs. Humboldt. It was hard to have to be on the sidelines watching my team play in a big game and not being out there on the field.

Why should your number be called when the game is on the line?

I’m always ready, and I’m confident that I can make a play when my team needs it the most.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

I played against Rayce Heitman, who played for Williamsburg and is now going to the University of Iowa to play college football.

How would you describe your style of play?

Physical and Relentless.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

I am coachable, and I am a versatile player in all 3 phases. Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.

What or who got you started playing football?

Growing up I loved to watch the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and I always played football in the backyard with my brothers. I think just growing up in a family who likes to watch football gave me the love for the game.

What is your game day routine?

After school we have a team meal, then I go home and relax for a little while before I head to the stadium. I arrive at the stadium 2 hours and 30 minutes before game time and head down to the locker room to get dressed and taped. After I am dressed, I walk up to the weight room, where our coaches lead a walk through and mental prep, which is followed by a 20-minute primer. After that I go back down to the locker room and get my pads on and go out to the field with the team for warmups. After warmups we have a team prayer led by Coach Aaron Kampman. Then it is time to show everyone what Solon Spartan Football is all about.

What is your favorite type of music?

Country

If you could go back in time and live in any time period, what period of time are you living in?

Honestly, I would rather go into the future, but if I had to choose to go back in time, I would probably pick the Wild West era.

Who is your favorite athlete?

DK Metcalf
