My second interview lasted at least two hours. We were able to continue those talks over the week and were able to get on the same page and have the same vision for the football program. There is definitely intensity when it comes to practicing, and it feels like everybody is bought in. What was the high mark of the 2023 season? When did we beat the university in week 3? Fracturing my back in a scrimmage caused me to miss the season. What are your goals for the 2024 season? Make a playoff run and recover first-team honors. What makes you a dangerous receiver? I’m a route technician who makes explosive plays, which causes me to be a walking mismatch. What is the toughest aspect of playing wide receiver? Being mentally tough enough to go from a bad play, wash it out, and make a great play right after. For a receiver, what is the worst type of weather to play in? All the odds were stacked against us, and no one expected us to win, but we talked in the locker room before the game, and we wanted to go put the state on notice, and we sure did. How did your baseball season go? Baseball had its highs and lows for me. Overall, I batted in the.280s–.290s between summer and high school baseball. I’ve played football for ten years. I started playing football because my family loved the game, and I naturally did as well.
