Image
Ethan Couch Tippecanoe High School Defensive End and Wide Receiver 2025 6’3 205 What are your goals for the 2024 season? To win a league title for ourselves this year and possibly a state championship. When the team messes up at practice, what does your coach say? Our coaches care a lot about our players, and if someone makes a mistake, they take their time to correct and perfect it. A big thing our coach likes to say is “so what next play?” to help us not get in our heads too much about a mistake. Wide receiver or defensive end—which position do you enjoy playing more? I really enjoy playing wide receiver, but defensive end also has a special place in my heart because of the amount of preparation I put in weekly to be ready for each game. Wide receiver or defensive end—which position is the hardest to prepare for? Defensive end seems to be a tougher position to game plan for because our game plan switches up every week due to various offenses we see. Have you attended a

Gavin Newburg    Tippecanoe High School  Inside Linebacker  2025 6'0, 201 pounds  What would your teammates say about you, the football player? I believe my teammates would say I work hard and try to push everyone to be their best. I love the game of football and being physical.  What is the toughest part of being a linebacker? The toughest part of being a linebacker is having to read the offense. Every week, it’s different, and you have to make adjustments.  What is the best part of being a linebacker? The best part of being a linebacker is the feeling of being a quarterback for the defense and making a huge play on the field.  Would you rather play your rival to open the season or to close it? Explain I would play my rival to close the season because every year I love to watch the Michigan vs. Ohio State game to close the season; it’s a different energy on the field.  Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for? When

Theo Jackson Trinity High School Middle Linebacker and Running Back 2025 5’9 and 180 In watching your HUDL package, I was impressed with how you get low to make the tackle. How much prep goes into being able to go low to make the tackle and do so as easily as you do? In practice, I practice staying low throughout the whole rep we do so it can translate to the game and come as easy as it does. Another thing that stuck out on your HUD page was the way you seemed to read the play. How much game film do you study to prepare yourself for a game? I study all parts of the film, from the QB’s read to the Olines movement, and just make mental notes and point them out to my teammates and coaches. What do you believe is the strongest part of your game? I believe the strongest part of my game is my ability to get downhill and make the tackle at the line of scrimmage. What part of your game must you improve to be a better player? I must improve on reading my keys, and once I improve o
