How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve played since I was 7. I play because I love building a bond with my teammates.

Who or what got you started playing football?

My friends are getting me to switch from soccer.

What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?

40+catches

What goals are you setting for your team?

Winning our league, then going on to try and go deep in the states.

WR/CB/DB Of those three positions, which one do you feel you are best at?

Probably wide receiver because the defensive player never knows what you’re doing.

WR/CB/DB Of the three positions, which one is the toughest to prepare for?

Cornerback by far, because it’s the hardest position on the field.

Who is the most talented player that you have ever played with?

Jonathan Kauffman

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game?

Khalon Simmons or Tucker Teats

What has been your biggest moment on the football field?

Catching a 50-yard touchdown to beat our rivals in the state quarterfinals.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense? Explain?

Offense because you can control your own legacy, whereas on defense you have to respond to what the offense does.

Where should the state finals be held?

Beaver Stadium

If you are hearing from any colleges, would you name one or two of them?

Juniata and Mansfield

Snakes and the ocean

Who are your role models?

My father.

In 2023, we won an overtime thriller against DuBois Area 14–13, avenging a 1-point loss at the 1-yard line the year prior.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
