What do you feel was the biggest difference between the 2022 and 2023 teams?

There is definitely intensity when it comes to practicing, and it feels like everybody is bought in.

What was the high mark of the 2023 season?

When did we beat the university in week 3?

What mark do you think the 2024 class has left on the football team?

They showed us what it takes to be leaders on and off the field.

Turf or grass?

Personally, I like turf.

What makes you a good teammate?

I’m always positive, and I try to push my peers to be the best they can be.

Who is the toughest teammate to go against in practice?

My guy, Marcus Reed, and I’ve been going up against each other since middle school, and it’s always a challenge.

Who has been the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

I faced Brock Kuttie from Linsly in a scrimmage my sophomore year.

What is the toughest part of playing on the line?

Having to be able to go 100% on every play because if you don't, the play can fall apart or be a big loss 

What is the most rewarding part of being a lineman?

Getting to be as physical as you want to be at every play 

What is your favorite part of practice?

Team period

What is the toughest part of practice?

Conditioning 

What are your goals for the 2024 season?

To come out of the last game knowing that I gave every snap my all.

What scares you?

Nothing

Who are your role models?

Definitely, my parents 

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

Golfing and hanging out with my friends

In 2023, we won an overtime thriller against DuBois Area 14–13, avenging a 1-point loss at the 1-yard line the year prior.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
