How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?
I have played since I was in elementary school, starting with flag football. I’ve played tackle since 5th grade. I continue to play because I love the game and because it allows me to be me.
What or who got you started playing football?
My dad and brother were the major reasons. I also loved watching players like Jeff Okudah, Marshon Lattimore, Darron Lee, Chase Young, and Raekwon McMillan. I wanted to be like those guys.

LB
With this being your final high school season, have you found yourself preparing any differently?
Yes, I’m realizing it’s my last year of high school, so I find myself embracing every moment, even the ones that suck. I also train harder, lift with more intensity, and do more specific programs.
What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Edon High School?
I know every little fact about my teammates. I’ve watched them grow from little kids into grown men. I love playing with them and for them.
Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played on?
I have played against many great players. Thomas Foust, Cardinal Stritch. Quincey Crabbs, St. Paul. Logan Eilerman, Fort Loramie. Jack Vicente, Ottawa Hills.
Coming off a 7-5 season, including a road playoff win over a very good Waynesfield-Goshen, what does the 2024 team have to do better to have a better season?
We have to be more focused. Last year, we were mostly juniors and sophomores. We were young and not fully locked in. This year, as we mature, we must focus and put in more work. We have to be tougher. We have the talent to win; we need everybody to buy in.
What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?
1st team all-state, TAAC DPOY, 1st team TAAC WR, break my school's tackle record for a career and a season. Win TAAC, win state.
