Before getting into the game, I wanted to express how cool it was to meet Coach Zier after the game: the conversation, the Jersey, shirts, the tour of the school, and lunch. 

The game started out with Beach recovering their own onside kick, giving them all of the early momentum. Sawyer Noll used the early energy charge to pick up 18 yards with 10:35 left on the clock. Facing a fourth and two, Beach elected to go for it, but Lucas Brown was stopped short.

NGS needed just one play to take the 6-0 lead with Bryce Schneider using the blocking of the offensive line to outsprint the defense for the 95-yard score with 6:39 left in the opening quarter.

Kirby Dietz picked off Carson Piatz to put the Beach offense on the field with 3:18 left in the quarter. However, the Imperials defense stood tall and quickly got the ball back to their offense. Three plays later, this became a 14-0 game when Carson Piatz broke off a 68-yard run followed by a two-point conversion pass to Jackson Piatz.

Beach was able to keep a drive alive when Trent Ambo muscled his way for four yards and the first down gaining four yards. Just a short time later, though, after the Imperials' offense got back on the field, this became a 22-0 game when Carson Piatz found Jackson Piatz, who used a John Riggins-type stiff arm to break away for the 58-yard score. Carson Piatz found Easten Baugartner to convert the two-point conversion.

The Imperials' defense stepped up again when Andre Doll stopped Lucas Brown on fourth down to again put their offense back on the field. One play later, with 7:15 left in the quarter, Carson Piatz galloped like  Secretariat for a 73-yard score to make this a 28-0 game.

Beach would pick up 52 yards when Trent Ambo connected with Josh Davidson with 6:55 left in the half. The Buccaneers ended the two-play, 54-yard drive on a 2-yard run by Sawyer Noll to make this a 28-6 game.

Another one-play drive came from the Imperials once the offense was back on the field. This time, Carson Piatz electrified the crowd with a 68-yard run, then he connected with Baumgartner, making this a 36-6 game with 6:11 left in the half.

After Wyatt Lane recovered a Sawyer Noll fumble, it would be up to their defense to step up and make a play. First, Nash Oech got to Carson Piatz for a loss of eight. Then Colt Zechman picked Carson Piatz off with 4:41 left in the half.

Ambo found Noll for a gain of 44 yards, giving the offense a first and ten and the Imperials twenty-yard line, with 3:23 left. Then the same combo hooked up for the 8-yard score, and then Ambo hit Dietz, converting the two-point try to make this a 36-14 game.

The third and fourth quarters flew by with a running clock. Ambo was picked off by Bradley Hottman with 2:16 left in the third. Five seconds later, Carson Piatz found pay dirt from five yards out, and that was followed by a two-point run from Brooks Grunefelder to make this a 44-14 game.

Ambo was picked off again in the fourth by Hottman, with 10:24 left in the contest. A 67-yard pass from Beau Grunefelder and a two-point conversion run from Brooks Grunefelder ended the scoring, giving us the 52-14 final.
