Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.
Last season was filled with firsts for me. First time scoring and playing defense on the varsity level. It was a learning experience for our team who was pretty young and our record was not indicative of the talent on our team so we are looking to make big strides this year and plan to have a very more successful season.
Football or basketball: Which one do you feel you are better at?
I'm not sure, although I've had more achievements in Basketball I've also had more opportunities. I've put more of an emphasis this year on preparing physically for the football season. I've added 21lbs since Basketball and have really been putting a focus on training for football.
As an athlete what has been your biggest moment?
Wow, that's tough, I've been fortunate to have played on some really good teams with good players. I would say my biggest moment though was winning the Junior Olympics for High Jump and placing in long jump.
Can you share with the readers some of the camps you have attended for football along with the biggest lessons you have learned from them?
This was my first year attending football camps, as before my primary focus had been Basketball. I attended Ohio State, Toledo, Miami, Kent State and just added Findlay this summer. So really everything was a lesson, from when you should arrive, the drills and speaking and meeting with coaches after the completion of camp. It's been a great learning experience, and I feel I learned something from each one.
What is something unique about Ontario High School Football?
It's a brotherhood, we all truly want the best for each other, and we want to succeed together.
What teams goals will you set?
We will set academic and football goals.
What is your biggest strength as a football player?
I have good hands, and I'm pretty shifty, but probably my biggest strength is my work ethic and determination.
What is the toughest part of being a receiver?
Losing my gloves, just kidding probably learning all the plays for all the receiver positions.
What type of cover guy to you like going up against the most?
I am a competitor, so I hope I get the other teams best lined up across from me.
What road stadium is the toughest to play in, as well as the thing that makes it so tough?
Shelby, they have a good student section and fan base.
Why should your number be called when the game is on the line?
My IQ, I make adjustments and reads pretty quickly and if I can get the ball I see the field pretty well.
What is your game-day routine?
I don't really have a routine.
If the Browns get their dome should the state finals be moved there?
Maybe, it would take out the unpredictable OH weather element that's for sure.
What is your favorite class or subject?
Science
What is your favorite animal?
I don't think I have a favorite animal but maybe a cheetah.
What is the one food you will not eat?
Cauliflower
