Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.
Last season I finished with 25REC 364YDS and one of my favorite memories was starting out the first game hot with a 30 point team win. I had 103YDS and 2TDS.
With this being your final high school season are you approaching things differently than you have in the past?
I’m coming into this season with more experience than last year, but it’s going to be the same mentality of leaving it all out on the field and win as it’s always been.
What makes you a good teammate?
What makes me a good teammate is the fact that I lead by example on the field, I’m dependable to do what I’m asked. And I care about my teammates on and off the field.
What team goals will you set?
The goal for the team is to win the federal league, we’ve been out working every team on our schedule so that we can achieve this.
What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?
I’d say my biggest moment as an athlete is in the present. Making the move to a new school will test me and see if I’m able to be up for the challenge for my senior year.
What has been your biggest disappointment as an athlete?
Definitely being around coaches that didn’t push for me to see me succeed to my fullest potential.
Who has been the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
The best player I’ve faced in game was definitely Tristin Hughes out of Rocky River, we ended up beating their team but spend the whole week prepping for him, and he still shredded us.
Would you rather start the season with your biggest rival or finish the regular season with them?
I’d rather start the season against a rival and have that opportunity.
Wide receiver or tight end: which position do you feel you are best at?
I feel as if my receiving ability is the best part of my game. Some colleges have looked at me for WR while some have asked TE out of me. I’m willing to do whatever I’m needed too, and I think this season we’ll see a lot more TE then last while also adding in receiver reps.
Can the band, fans and cheerleaders get you fired up before the game or during the game?
Seeing the stands filled up before a game is a great feeling knowing that your community came out to watch you and believes in you. But it definitely gets you fired up during the game when you hear the band and fans after a big play.
How important is it to you, that the team not only gets along on the field but off of it as well?
I think that chemistry of a team hanging out off the field definitely translates on the field. It builds confidence and an understanding of each other.
Can you share with the readers some of the schools that you have heard from?
I’m currently offered by Walsh, WVW, SFU, Erskine, Rio Grande and Capital. Talking to many others in that d2 range and hoping to pick up some more during and after the season.
After the season is over if you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you play?
Of course, I would! That would be a blessing to be honored and have the chance to compete with the other top tier athletes.
What scares you
Underperforming is definitely a big fear of mine, knowing how much work I put in to let down isn’t very disappointing.
If you could go back in time and speak to any athlete throughout history, who are you talking to?
I’m a fan of Justin Jefferson’s game so if I’d be able to work out or talk about the game with him that’d be a dream come true.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is being a Physical Therapist. I would love to help athletes like myself rehab and get back to the field.
