Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.
I had a huge catch against the school I transferred from where I caught a jump ball over 3 defenders. And that helped me show everyone there that disrespected me at my old school why they should have treated me better and what I’m capable of.
Who or what got you started playing football?
My dad used to have football on the TV ever since I was born, and I’ve just stuck with it since
What keeps you playing the game?
I want to give my family and loved ones a promising future.
What did you learn about yourself last season that you can use to be abetter player and teammate this season?
I learnt that there are going to be obstacles in your way and that you just have to get around them and you will be fine.
What has to change inside the football program to turn things around?
Leadership has to be present and everyone has to put in effort
How would you describe your style of play?
I play like Julio Jones. When I go up for a deep ball and if it’s in reach than I will catch it
Will you share with the readers some of what you do as a cornerback?
I play to the flats and I keep offensive players from moving down the field
What type of defender do you like going up against as a wide receiver?
Ones that will give me good competition and make it look more impressive when I catch it over their head
Grass or turf?
Turf
What is the worst weather to play in?
Either when it’s dry and cold with no snow, or raining in the grass
What are you looking forward to the most this season?
Proving myself as a top athlete in my class
How important is it to you that the team not only get along on the field but off of it to?
It’s always good if your team gets along on the field but off the field is what keeps the relationships and makes them stronger. So obviously it’s extremely important.
Where should the state finals be held?
Marshall University
What is your favorite school lunch?
Spaghetti
What are your favorite and least types of music?
Least favorite is whatever my principal plays in the hallway on the way to class, but my favorite is either Rick Ross or Kevin gates.
Who are your role models?
On the field I want to be like Randy Moss and just play so fearlessly and just make the over the top plays like him. But as a person I want to be like my step dad Chris Cook, even though he’s my “step dad” he has treated me like I’m his son and he’s been my best friend since he’s came into my life and I’m just glad to have such a great bond with him, he’s taken me everywhere I’ve wanted to go all over the country for this sport and he’s 100% the most selfless guy I know also he prioritizes the people he loves and works hard when he puts his mind to something and does it.
