(Baseball/Game Report) Whetstone 11 Centennial 1

After working and hitting the gym I made the drive to Centennial High School to watch the Stars battle the Whetstone Braves. This was the third game between these two this year, with the teams both winning at home. The game was scoreless after three and a half innings, warpath. From then the Stars plated their only run in the game to take a 1-0 lead. From there the Braves went on the warpath, scoring the last eleven runs of the game to post the 11-1 road win.

The Braves would out hit the Stars 9-4. There were three errors in the game, with the Stars committing two of them. Oliver Hittle went the distance for the Braves. He gave up four hits and had nine strikeouts; he did not walk anyone and allowed just one earned run. He threw 77 total pitches. Jayden Hammond, a Clark State commit, started for the Stars. He lasted 4 2/3 innings. He walked three times, and he struck out five. According to the stats, he threw 99 pitches.

August Johnson led the Braves with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Freshman Liam Knostman had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Laz Benson had a hit and 1 RBI. Kai Moses had 2 RBIs. Kaden Kirk had a hit and 1 RBI. Hittle and Channing Sebetich each had a hit. Jack Langhals drove in a run. Grant Gaberell also drove in a run.

For the Stars, Daniel Barnes had the only RBI. Max Burt and Hammond each had 2 hits.
