Something that sticks out was the energy after we got a big hit on somebody; my teammates would get hype for me, and I'd get hype for them.

What makes you a good teammate?

I’m a good teammate because I try to push all my teammates as hard as possible.

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete at Whetstone High School?

It’s tough because of the culture that causes people to doubt us.

What is the most rewarding part of being a student-athlete at Whetstone High School?

The coaching is rewarding; we have very good coaches.

OT/G/C/DT: Of these positions that you are listed as playing, which one do you believe you are best at?

I believe I'm best at DT.

Can you explain to the readers your biggest responsibility as a defensive tackle?

My biggest responsibility as a defensive tackle is trying to make sure the ball doesn’t get to the next level; we try to seal the holes so they don’t get positive yardage.

What are your personal goals for the 2026 season?

I want to prove that I got what it takes to make it even with being a city kid.

Which road stadium is the toughest to play in? Explain

The toughest stadium is Linden because they get a lot of love from the neighborhood, and it’s tough with all the trash talk.

With this being your final high school football season, are you preparing differently than you have in the past?

I’m preparing harder than I ever have so I can have the best season possible.

What is your favorite part of practice?

My favorite part of practice is the full-contact team part of practice.

Which part of practice is your least favorite?

Conditioning is my least favorite even though I know it’s important.

How much would it mean to you to get an invitation to one of the all-star games after the season is over?

I would be very excited if they invited me; for sure it would be a good opportunity.

As a player, how do you go about getting your classmates to go out for football?

I tell them about how it affected me.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite subject is math.

What are you doing other than sports for fun?

Other than sports, I like to draw and go to the gym.

Have you watched any of the UFL games?

I haven’t been able to get out to an Aviators game yet, but definitely will soon

The highlight of my 2024 season was definitely the 42-yard free kick Coach Daniel Barker had me working on all week before we played that Friday night.
