Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

When we were in practice my freshman year and I got past a varsity senior when coaches put me on the D line, I got to the QB on the first rep because I was smaller and bigger than he thought I was going to let up.

With a new coach, has this brought new excitement to you?

Yes, it’s given us something to look forward to in terms of having a better season, and so far he hasn’t let up; he’s an amazing coach, and he brings everything a coach should have: attitude, grit, and passion.

What makes you a good teammate?

I’ll never lie to one of my brothers, and I’ll be straight up, and if I see them make a mistake, I won’t call them out on it but tell them how to fix it, and my mentality going into practice every day is making the guy next to me better.

What must the Hornets do differently this season to have a winning season?

We have to have perseverance; we have to want it and not just say we do; we have to hate losing more than we love winning.

Offensive line or defensive line. Which one are you better at?

Defensive Line

Offensive line or defensive line. Which one is harder to prepare for?

Offensive Line because I believe the Offensive Line sets everything up for a team, and if your guys can’t block, you won’t be able to run or pass the ball.

With the upcoming season, your final high school season, have you found yourself preparing any differently? Explain

I’ve found myself realizing I have to go 110% because it’s the last I might ever, so I have to know I can’t half-ass reps and am going as hard as I can.

How would you describe your style of play?

Aggressive, quick, and tactical

What are your goals for the season?

To come off the ball as fast as possible, come off the ball with intensity to set the tone for my brothers next to me and leave it all on the field.

Which road stadium is the toughest to play in? Explain

Watkins, their rival school in every sport we face them in, you can feel the energy, and our varsity football team hasn’t beaten them since 2021 when I was in 7th grade and all throughout high school, so this year my brothers and I plan on bringing home the Battle of Broad Street title.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned from playing sports?

Perseverance and being able to keep going when being faced with doubt and adversity

How do you keep your teammates feeling positive and motivated during a loss?

I tell them to use it as motivation, and this is just a lesson for correction and a minor setback for a major comeback.

What is your favorite sport to watch?

Basketball

What scares you?

Failure, or disappointing the people relying on me.

What is your favorite sports movie or show?

A TV show called Swagger
