Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game—any moment that sticks out to you.
Practice beef and people sharpening each other and making each other better through aggressiveness and dispute, and people thought it was funny that when I chased them down, I would growl like a dog.
With this being your final high school football season, have you changed things up in the way you are preparing compared to previous years?
Yes, I've been training with more focus on explosiveness, speed, and athletics rather than just strictly strength training like I used to.
As a defensive tackle, what is your biggest responsibility?
My biggest responsibility is derailing the play weather it's holding my gap and stopping the intended run or blowing past on a pass rush and getting a game changing sack
Defensive end or defensive tackle: Which one do you feel you are better at?
I feel better at the D end spit because of my speed and pass rush ability
How would you describe your style of play?
Aggressive but calculated
What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?
Pass rush, speed, and strength for sure
What has been your biggest moment as a football player?
Chasing down a scrambling QB for a huge hit and sack
As an athlete in any sport, at any age, what has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?
In wrestling, I went to sectionals expecting to breeze through, just for me to be humiliated by a move I've never seen in front of 100s.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, as well as the team he was on?
Keegan Grey-Wykofe—excuse my spelling—he is the only o-lineman to ever pancake me fairly.
After the season is over, if you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?
Yes, I would find much joy in that.
Can you share with the readers how the recruiting process has gone for you?
It's been slow, to be honest, but I'm chasing my first offer because I know when I get that, more will follow. That's just the algorithm, but I've been working hard to get this, and the first one will mean a lot.
What are the goals that you will set for the team?
We want to make it past week 2 of playoffs, and the d-line has made a team goal of 30+ sacks and being the best d-line in the GMC.
Do you think private schools have advantages over public schools? Explain
Not necessarily; if a player wants it just as much as anyone, they will reach that goal using whatever tools they can get, and it's less about the publicity of the school and the skill of the players and determination.
What is the one food you will not eat?
Onions, never
Have you watched any of the UFL games?
Not many; I need to watch more.
What are you doing outside of sports for fun?
I love hanging out with friends and beating my own lifting records constantlyconstantly.
