The Clippers (8-6) led 3-0 after their first at bad and never looked back from there. They added two in the third and single runs in the sixth, and the ninth for the 7-0 win.

Rorik Maltrud (1-0) went six innings to post the win. He allowed two-hits, while striking out four and allowing just one base on balls. Kutter Crawford (0-1) took the loss. He went just three innings allowing five earned runs.

Nolan Jones (4) and Kahlil Watson (2&3) went deep for Columbus. Jones had 2 RBI and Watson 4. Petey Halpin had the other RBI for Columbus. Travis Bazzana shows signs of coming out of his season long slump with two-hits.
