(Baseball) Unioto Shermans 8 Athens Bulldogs 6

 

Unioto jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings, but the Bulldogs plated five runs in the third to close to within 6-5. The Shermans got one back in the third to go up 7-5 after three. Athens would get a run in the fourth to again close within one but Unioto put the game away with a run in the bottom of sixth to hang on for the 8-6 win.

Braydon White and Jack Welsh each had two hits to lead the 10-hit attack. Grady Gobel had two RBI in the win. For Athens, Isaiah Arocho led the way with three hits and 2 RBI. The Bulldogs had nine hits. David Sharp had two hits, and he drove in a run. 

 In the field the Bulldogs had two errors compared to just one for the winners. Briar Thomas had five puts outs for the Bulldogs. For Unioto, Grady Gobel had seven put outs. 

Athens moves to 5-4-1 

Union now stands 4-3
