Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

One moment that sticks out from last season was when my teammates and I got to play games, hang out together, and get to know each other better during our Tennessee spring break trip. We all shared one big cabin together, and it was so much fun!

What are you going to miss the most from the 2025 class?

I am going to miss the class of 2025’s leadership and determination the most because they always give 100% effort and play to win in games.

How long have you played softball, and who, or what, got you started?

I started playing softball when I was 4 years old. My mom got me started because she played softball when she was little and in college too. I wanted to continue her softball journey through me.

What are your goals for the season?

My goal for this high school season is to be a strong and competitive player, teammate, and leader on and off the field and strive to hit 300 strikeouts this season.

What goals are you setting for your team?

Our team’s goal is to play as a team and have a winning streak this season.

What has been your biggest moment on the field?

Last year in my freshman season, I pitched 100 strikeouts in 50 innings, ending the season with 147 K’s in 77.1 innings.

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete, in any sport, at any age?

We had just won 12U Little League Districts, and I was being interviewed by a local TV reporter on camera. He asked me a question, and I didn’t know an answer for it, and it was dead silence for about 10 seconds. Finally, I made something up that was totally off-topic from the question.

How would you describe your style of play?

I am a strong and fierce competitor who competes in every game. I am a player who leads by example. I always give 100% effort no matter what and play for my team. I may not be the loudest on the field, but I always hold my teammates accountable and encourage and cheer them on in everything they do.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team she was on?

Travel ball: Sophia Schlader-Beverly Bandits 16u Conroy

High school: Kaliana Ray-Austintown Fitch High School

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete at Ursuline High School?

Balancing the homework and studying for classes with practice and games during the season is the toughest part of being a student-athlete.

What is your favorite part of practice?

My favorite part of practice is being able to get the reps I need with my teammates and pushing my teammates during practice, holding them accountable, as well as holding myself accountable.

What is the toughest part of practice?

The toughest part of practice is practicing even when I am tired or don’t have the energy to do it at the moment. Although when I do feel like that, I still push through it, which ultimately makes me better.

With Ohio having such cold weather at the beginning of the softball season, do you think the season should start later? Explain

Yes, I think the season should start later because we would be able to get more games in, and it would let us have a better experience in the warmer weather.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Jordy Frahm (Bahl)—She is such an amazing player!

What is a style or fad that your generation has that you do not get or understand?

I do not understand the trend of people my age doing dances on TikTok.

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

Outside of sports, I like to listen to music, watch movies and shows, work out, take bike rides, build Legos, swim, and go to amusement parks.
