Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.
I have had a lot of great memories so far—an on-the-field memory was celebrating with my team after we beat Grove City towards the end of the season, and a funny memory that everyone still talks about is the practice where I got locked in the equipment closet and had to yell out to the baseball team practicing in the hallway to get someone to let me out.
What are you going to miss from the 2025 class?
I had a lot of great friendships in that class and looked up to them as mentors my freshman and sophomore seasons.
What makes you a good teammate?
I always try to be positive and make sure to vocally show it on the field.
Where on the diamond do you feel you are best?
The corners!
I believe the Lions went 19-12 overall and 9-1 in conference play last season. What will the team have to do to fare better overall this season?
We lost some strong hitters in our lineup that graduated last year, so we will need some players to step up and fill those holes to make sure we keep our offense strong. But I don’t think it will be a problem with the talent on this team!
What has been your biggest moment as a softball player?
Hitting a home run in the regional semi-final to put us ahead!
What is the strength of your game?
I put a lot of time into my hitting and feel my power is one of my biggest strengths. My goal is to always move runners to score runs!
Should every team make the tournament?
No, it should be earned.
With Ohio having such cold weather in March, do you think the season should start later?
No, because it would affect our ability to play with our summer travel teams.
What are your team goals this season?
Win OCCs for a 5th year in a row and make it to States!
What are your personal goals for the season?
Help my team win games by hitting as many extra base hits as possible and keep working towards trying to break the RBI record. I would also love to make 1st team all district this year.
Who is the best pitcher that you have faced in a game, along with the team she was on?
Ashlin Mowery—a former Lancaster pitcher who is now playing at LSU.
Where do the Ohio Hawks play their home games?
The Ohio Hawks are a national-level travel team that competes in some of the top tournaments around the country, including Top Gun, Scenic City, and Colorado Sparkler.
What is your favorite type of music?
R&B
Who is your favorite athlete?
Mia Scott
