Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.
Going out to eat with my teammates and bus rides back to school after a win.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Downingtown East football team?
I was sad that I wouldn’t be able to play with my teammates again but also grateful for the opportunity and knowing I gave it everything I had.
What do you feel you will miss the most from playing high school football?
The environment was the whole town cheering us on, and we were playing with people we knew for a long time.
What was the biggest lesson that you learned from playing high school football?
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
Of all of the wins that you were part of, which one meant the most? Explain
I would say beating Coastville my senior year because no one expected us to win it.
Which loss stung the most?
Definitely Downingtown West
What was the best part of your senior season?
Being able to lead and learn who I was as a player
What was the toughest part of your senior season?
Dealing with my back pain throughout the season.
Who was the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
There were a lot of great players that I’ve played this season, but since I’m a DB, I’ll say #1 is the talented player from Spring Ford.
What was your biggest moment as a high school football player?
Getting the game-winning interception against Spring Ford or breaking the school deadlift record
What was the best part of the recruiting process?
The relationships and people you meet
Do you feel that the transfer portal in college sports has made it more difficult for high school players to be recruited?
Yeah, for sure.
Would you share with the readers some of the schools that recruited you?
Bloomsburg, Albright, Lock Haven, and Millersville
What made you choose Bloomsburg University?
It felt like home, and I felt wanted there.
What is your favorite class or subject?
English
Who is your favorite pro football team?
Eagles
What is a style or fad that your generation has that you do not get or understand?
I’m not sure, but there are definitely some memes that don’t quite get
