Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

Last season, my team won the Gold Ball. It was so fun being celebrated for this accomplishment. My favorite part might’ve been getting a celebration dinner and eating cake in the lobby after with my team.

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete?

The toughest part about being a student-athlete is having to sacrifice things that your friends don’t have to. Sometimes missing out socially is necessary to get better on the court or catch up on homework.

What is the most rewarding part of being a student-athlete?

The most rewarding part of being a student-athlete is seeing your hard work turn into success. I think being a student athlete also makes you work through a lot of adversity and teaches you life lessons that will always stick.

Who or what got you started playing basketball?

My family is a basketball family, so it’s always just been in our blood to play the game. Growing up I was a competitive dancer, but my older sister played a lot of basketball and when she played AAU it started to seem more fun to me.

How would you describe your style of play?

I would describe my style of play as versatile. I am very good at using my body, so I can post up and be physical, or I can be a spot-up shooter. Most of my life, I have even been the point guard and facilitator.

What has been your biggest moment in a game?

In our rivalry game at Hillsboro, I had a 20-point first half. It was the biggest crowd I had ever played in front of, and the league title was on the line.

What were your personal goals heading into the season?

My personal goals heading into the season were to get my 1,000 points and get on the wall of our school (3rd, 2nd, or 1st Team All Ohio).

What team goals did you set?

As a team, we want to win the league, get back-to-back gold balls, and make a big tournament run—hopefully a district title.

Who has been the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team she was on?

Last year, my team was knocked off early in the tournament by Circleville, and it was mainly because of Addison Edgington. Though I’ve played lots of great players, she is one that sticks out. We played on an AAU team together, so I know how bright of a future she has.

Should there be a shot clock in high school basketball?

With the number of people that play basketball at the next level, I think there should be a shot clock. A shot clock forces players to make good decisions under pressure. It also helps the flow of the game.

What is the strongest part of your game?

I think the strongest part of my game is my ability to see the floor.

Should every team make the tournament?

Every team should make the tournament because you never know what can happen. A team that may not have a great season can make a big run, and a team that has a perfect season may get upset. The tournament is like a completely new season; anything is possible.

Which road gym is the toughest to play in? Explain

The toughest atmosphere to play at on the road is Adena. It’s very hard to get any energy in this gym.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete is Caitlin Clark.

What is a style or fad that your generation has that you just don't get?

A fad that my generation has that I just don’t get is celebrating when hitting a 3.

What is a skill or talent that you have that might shock those around you?

It’s not basketball related, but I am very good at baking—especially cinnamon rolls.
