Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.
Making it to the convo and playing in front of pretty much the whole community and hearing all the support.
How long have you been playing basketball?
14 years
Who or what got you started playing basketball?
My dad
What is the strongest point of your game?
The ability to be a 3-level scorer and cause mismatch problems all around the floor.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
Definitely Bennett Kayser in the Elite 8 against Minford
What goals did you set for your team heading into the season?
Winning the conference because we couldn't get that done last year and just making a better run in the playoffs than we did last year.
What team goals did you set?
Win the conference.
Can you describe your pre-game routine and how it helps you prepare mentally and physically for a game?
Jumping rope and praying
What's been your biggest moment as a high school athlete?
Either scoring 1000 points as a junior or coming into the convo against Wheelersburg and scoring 30 to help us win the district championship
What's been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?
Freshman year, we were playing against Fairland, our rival, and I still to this day think I got fouled, but I shot a fade away and hit the side of the backboard right in front of Fairland's student section.
Which road gym do you like playing in the best? Explain
I really enjoy playing at Fairland because the environment is electrifying and there are so many people there. It is the best rivalry game in southern Ohio for sure.
What was the most exciting game you played this season, and what made it so memorable?
Playing against Lucasville Valley and getting them back for the loss they handed us last year and snapping our undefeated streak, and also that was the game I scored my 1000th point in.
What has basketball taught you that carries over into the other areas of your life?
It has taught me so many things, but the most important one is just to be resilient, and even after some mistakes or setbacks, just keep moving forward and working hard.
Who are your role models?
My dad and one of my coaches, Coach Culbertson
What is a skill or talent that you have that might surprise those around you?
I can juggle really well.
Kings Island or Cedar Point?
Cedar Point for sure
