What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Madison Central football team?

Heartbroken, just knowing what we built and losing in that regional championship game was just heartbreaking, but we left it all on the field, and that’s all you can do.

What will you miss the most from playing high school football?

Definitely the community and not playing with the people I grew up with. We had one of the best communities around us, and as for the friends part, we’ve grown up playing with each other, and that’s all over now.

What mark do you feel your class left on the football program?

Discipline and building the program’s culture

What makes you a good teammate?

Being a good leader and always lifting people up instead of tearing them down

What do you wish you would have done differently when it comes to your high school football career?

Wish I would have gone to more camps, but some injuries cut that out of the picture for me.

What was your biggest moment as a high school football player?

Definitely when I figured out I was district lineman of the year, just to see all that hard work paying off in the end.

Which win meant the most?

Beating Scott Co. for the first time in 26 years

Which loss stung the most?

Frederick Douglass

Who was the best player that you went up against in a game, as well as the team he was on?

Definitely Cedrick Works (Frederick Douglas), a big, tall, lanky kid that can move; he was either a 4- or 5-star at UK now, but he was a dude. Malachi Brown (Corbin)—he’s a dude, one of the best D-linemen in the state, and he will be going to a big powerhouse once he graduates.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

They should recruit me because of my love for the sport, how nasty of a player I am, and how good of a person I am.

Would you name some of the schools that have recruited you?

I was offered by one D1 school, EKU, a couple of D3 schools, Hanover, Franklin, and Capital, and then the rest NAIA: Campbellsville, Cumberland (KY), Lindsey Wilson, and Georgetown (committed).

Now that high school football is over, do you think private schools have unfair advantages over public schools? Explain

I do. We played a private school in our regional championship, and the way they recruit is crazy. It just makes it a whole new level, and there needs to be a change to it. Some states have switched to them being in different classes, which I think should happen.

What is your favorite class or subject?

History

What scares you?

Spiders

What is a fad or style that your generation has that you just don't get or understand?

I don’t get the people that like to show up late to everything; that’s one of my biggest pet peeves.
