Track and Field

Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

On an offensive possession our running back got stopped for like an 8-yard gain or so; our whole offense started pushing the pile, and it turned into a 20-30 yard gain!

Just focusing on the 2025 season. What was the best part?

I think my whole team coming together at the end of the season and playing the best football of the whole season!

Again, just focusing on the 2025 season. What was the toughest part?

I think there was a disconnect between the whole team of players and staff at the beginning of the season. Which sucks because at the end of the season, after we came together, we showed we could play good football.

Ok, let's go with who was the best player that you have ever faced in a game, as well as the team he was on?

I faced quarterback, Travis ST. Clair, while he was at Bellefontaine. He was A five star out of high school and is currently at Ohio State.

Which win meant the most in your career?

I would have to say beating our rival, Piqua, my junior year because it is a big deal in our town, and it is an amazing feeling having the whole community on your back.

Which loss stung the most?

I would say the playoff game loss to Xenia junior year. We were up half, and we lost it after four quarters.

Now that your career is over, is there anything you wish you would have done differently?

I would always say I should have been in the weight room a lot more and pushed harder. I also wish I put myself in better places to better myself on the field.

What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Sidney High School football team?

I was definitely sad and mad going out like that with my guys the way we did. I was also excited about the next step of life.

What are you going to miss the most from playing high school football?

Definitely playing with the guys I have known and been playing since I was a little kid.

Now that high school football over, do you feel that private schools have unfair advantages over public schools? Explain

My high school fortunately and unfortunately didn’t play any private schools in my time here. I would also say being from Ohio and playing high school football here. That there are lot of private schools that probably do recruit or something of that nature.

What was the best part of the recruiting process?

The best part was building the relationships and connections that I did.

Do you think the transfer portal in college football is making it harder for high school players to get recruited?

I would say 100% or almost there because some kids are betting on themselves going to a bigger school, and then they have a 23 or 24-year-old come in after them and of course they are going to have better tools.

Would you share with the readers some of the schools that recruited you?

I visited Ohio Northern, Defiance, and of course Otterbein. I also was communicating with other schools like McPherson, Puget Sound, and Elmhurst to name a few.

Would you share with the readers what made you choose Otterbein?

I love the coaching staff. I also like the goals they set and how much time they have given me in the whole process. There are is great things to come at Otterbein!

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you? Explain

Yah for sure, I love playing football and that would be a fun way to show it.

What is a fad or style your generation has that you just don't get or understand?

I don’t like everybody that is so influenced by social media, like it being their whole personality.

What is your favorite place to grab a bite?

Chipotle is always my go-to spot.

Who is your favorite athlete?

I would have to say LeBron James.
