Kell 44 South Paulding 21 (Georgia)


 

Game two at Kell High was owned by the home team as the Longhorns ran wild, beating South Paulding. Kell entered this one hoping to claim the school's 177th victory, while the Spartans hoped to earn victory 99. The Longhorns would get two quick touchdowns from Quinterrius Gipson to go up 14-0. His first touchdown came on a 14-yard run with Fernando Tavares. His 2nd touchdown pass of 17 yards from Kaleb Narcisse. 
Kell took a 21-0 lead, with 11:53 left in the half, on a 12-yard pass from Narcisse to Brayden Rouse to make this a 21-0 game. The Spartans showed some life when Canyon Carter electrified the crowd with a 96-yard kickoff return for the score. Steven Dunlap was true on the point after kick, making this a 21-7 game, with 11:39 left on the clock. Kell would close out the half with a 21-yard touchdown catch by Rouse and an 11-yard catch by Nathan Agyemang to take a 34-7 lead.

Gipson raced for a 63-yard touchdown with 9:48 left in the third to give the Longhorns a 41-7 lead. They followed that score up with a 31-yard field goal from Tavares to make this a 44-7 game, with 1:10 left in the third. The Spartans showed no quit as they posted two scores in the final frame. Kade Wigginton would score on runs of four and eleven yards to make the final score 44-21.

Kell would total 536 yards on 63 plays, while South Paulding had 120 yards on 37 plays.
348 of the yards Kell totaled came on the ground.
The Spartans had 73 yards through the air.
Kade Wigginton had 32 yards rushing for South Paulding. He had 72 passing yards.
For Kell, Quinterrius Gipson rushed for 194 yards and 2 scores.
Kaleb Narcisse was 13-18 passing, with 149 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Zymir Steward led all tacklers with 9 total.
