Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice.

Last season was a big one for me; starting as QB as a freshman was a lot, and a memory that stood out to me from last year was my first touchdown in week 6, which was also my first start. You know, all that hard work put in during the off-season finally paid off at that point, and just being able to celebrate after with my teammates and stuff was really just a surreal moment to me.

Who or what got you started playing football?

What got me started playing football was my dad; he had been a coach even before I was born, and my older brother played as well as all my cousins, so I was kind of born into a football family, and it’s always been that sense since I could walk.

Could you list three reasons why you play football?

1.) You make lifelong brothers and friends throughout the years, and it’s just a good way to bond with others. 2.) It’s not easy; it’s a challenge. It keeps my brain moving and keeps me on my toes. always 3.) It gives me better chances at a future. I can either get to the NFL, but I can most importantly get a free chance at college so I can get an education for free, which sets me up for a good future.

What did you learn about yourself during the 2024 season that you will use this year to be a better player?

I learned this past season that I need to trust my arm. Last year as a freshman, I was kind of hesitant, so this year I just need to be more confident going into my sophomore season.

How would you use your style of play?

I feel like I can get out of the pocket and extended plays when needed, and I can also sit in the pocket and deliver passes.

What makes you a good teammate?

What makes me a good teammate is that I am someone who you can depend on, whether it’s to go make a play or to lead by example. I am always someone who can and someone that my teammates can trust on and off the field.

In watching your Hudl package, the biggest thing that stuck out was no matter the formation, when you are dropping back to pass and are forced to scramble, you always have your eyes downfield. Could you explain to the readers how much work it takes to make this look as easy as you do?

Keeping my eyes downfield while scrambling has been a big challenge to work on during the offseason; countless hours of just rolling out and keeping my eyes downfield leads to that. It was a big focus of mine going into my freshman year for sure.

What do you believe the strongest aspect of your game is?

I think the strongest aspect of my game is my ability to extend a play if it breaks down, whether that’s getting out of the pocket and throwing on the run or using my legs and getting the first down.

What do you need to work on the most to become a better player?

I think I need to work on timing and anticipation with my receivers. You know, transferring schools obviously makes it hard to get that chemistry down in just one offseason, but my receivers and I are getting it down, and we’re looking good going into this season.

As a younger player, which teammate are you going to if you need help with a football-related matter?

A senior captain—those guys are the people who have been in the program the longest and show leadership and represent our program.

What are your goals for the season?

My goal for the season is to just compete and get past that 1,000-yard mark passing this year, but most importantly, I want to win.

What type of defense do you like facing the best?

I like facing man the best; at Miamisburg we have receivers who have speed and athleticism over some DBs that they go against.

What is the worst weather for you to play in?

The worst weather for me is cold and rainy; the rain mixed with cold is just not a good mixture for any QB.

Who are your role models?

My role models are my dad, because he kind of showed me the ways of everything, and Tom Brady, someone who just knows the game and understands everything, and he’s the best to ever do it.

Where is your favorite spot to grab a meal?

I like to get Chick-fil-A before games especially.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite subject/class is social studies or world history.
