Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
Last season was great, from going all the way to Steubenville to the hype of the Badin game. I also enjoyed the battle of the Alter game and beating Celina in the playoffs, balling out with my guys from celebrations after scoring touchdowns to handshakes in practice.
What is the worst part of the first day of practice?
To me there is no worst part because I love football, but if anything, just the wait to get to the season, realizing that you have a long way to go.
With this being your final high school football season, have you prepared differently than you have in the past? Explain
Yeah, I'm focusing on a lot of training to be a dual threat both ways, conditioning constantly ready to prove myself.
Why should your number be called when the game is on the line?
I have great focus in the clutch. I don’t get overwhelmed and just stick to my game, and actually, it elevates my skill when the game is on the line because I hate losing.
Who is the teammate that is most likely to get vocal if the team is having a bad practice?
I’m the teammate to, like, tell younger class men to lock in and, like, keep in line; it’s my duty.
How do you get over a bad game?
I really don’t, but you have to have short-term memory, and it drives me to play better next game because you only get so many opportunities.
What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Archbishop McNicholas High School?
The best part, I would say, is the community. Everybody is so welcoming and nice and takes pride in McNick.
What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete?
I’ll say the toughest thing is probably balancing homework and practice because sometimes you might get home @7pm. and be tired, so it’s good to really get a lot of it done in school.
Where should the state finals be held?
I think it’s fine where it is, but if I had to choose, I would have it at the Bengals stadium.
What are your thoughts on 16 teams per region making the playoffs?
I think it’s going to be competitive, but we take one week at a time, and if we see them, we do, but I’m not too worried about other teams, just ours, to get better and stay focused.
Which road stadium is the worst to play in? Explain
I won’t say any stadium is that bad, but the ones really far away can be a little annoying.
What advice are you giving that first-time starter right before you take the field?
Just be yourself and play without fear, and do your best; that’s all we can ask.
If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?
I would definitely play because I feel it gives you that last game before it’s really over.
What was the last book that you read, along with the author?
I read Five Feet Apart by Raechel Lippincot.
Who is your favorite athlete?
I would have to say Jalen Ramsey.
Which state would you like to visit for the first time?
Probably Washington, D.C.
