Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
Last year I transferred from Dublin Scioto High School to Hilliard Darby High School. My favorite moment was in the first game of me starting as a linebacker; I got an interception.
What lesson did you learn from the 2024 season that you can use this year to be a better player?
From my 2024 season, I learned that no matter what or how hard you work, someone out there is working harder than you. I had to learn that the hard way.
Being a younger player, which teammate are you going to if you have football-related problems?
If I ever have any problems, I go to the upperclassman tight end and edge rusher for Hilliard Darby High School. He gave me information about recruiting and how you should always get your name out there, and if I have any problems on the football field, he’ll patiently teach it to me.
What are your goals for the season?
My goal for this season is to be a second-team All-OCC for football and get a couple of offers in the process.
What do you believe the strongest part of your game is?
My strongest game is probably how low I can get and how fast I get off the line of scrimmage to attack the offensive lineman.
Which part of your game are you focusing on improving the most before the start of the season?
This off-season I am focusing on strictly building strength and endurance to go up against great offensive linemen.
What will your game-day routine look like this season?
I always try to be as quiet as possible before a game to lock in and visualize what I do specifically in the game and how I’m going to prepare for that to happen and get the outcome that I’m striving for.
Do you have any game-day superstitions?
My game day superstition is to stand in the middle of the field for at least 30 minutes to visualize the field.
What is the toughest part of practice?
The toughest part of practice is probably going to be the conditioning coach, Brad Burchfield, who is really focused on endurance and how conditioned the players are. He wants to know if you can play or give your hundred percent in the fourth quarter.
What are you looking forward to the most this season?
I’m really looking forward to playing in Friday night lights and winning football games while the community of Hilliard Darby supports us in the stands.
Who or what got you started playing football?
When I was in sixth grade, an eighth grader told me that I should play football. I was hesitant at first, but I signed up for football and then never looked back. Since then, I have loved football.
What keeps you playing the game?
The grit and the passion of football really show who is really tough. Football is about teamwork. Everything has to be executed correctly. Everybody has to do their job right. That’s what makes me love the game of football.
What makes you a good teammate?
I'd say what makes me really great is my seriousness on the field. If we step on the field, no more jokes. Give you 100%, and I’ll be happy. But if you spend the whole practice laughing with your teammates and stuff, I’m going to call you out of love, not out of hatred.
What is your favorite class or subject?
My favorite class is sports medicine. It’s a really great class. It teaches about how you can treat athletes on the field and off the field.
What is your go-to snack?
My go-to snack is definitely going to be a protein bar of some sort. It’s really hard to hear your protein goals at a young age, so a tasty protein bar can help with that.
What is your favorite animal?
My favorite animal is a grizzly bear. A grizzly bear is a very strong animal that is caring for its family and will protect them at all costs.
