Who or what got you started playing football?

My Big Brother Drew. He is 6 years older than me, and I always wanted to be like him. He never got to finish his senior year due to a torn meniscus, so this year I want to ball out, especially for him.

What is your biggest motivation that allows you to continue to play football?

I am a super competitive person, and football gives me an opportunity to compete with myself every day. I like to set goals for myself and dominate them.

Defensive line or offensive line, which is harder to prepare for?

Offense for sure. Having the right mentality going into a game and keeping nerves to a minimum in order to execute the plays so they are successful.

Defensive line or offensive line, which do you believe that you are best at?

I’m not really sure; last season was the first time I have ever played offensive line. It took a little bit to get used to blocking instead of tackling. I feel like I definitely did a good job of learning the position, but defense has always been my go-to; that’s the fun side.

What has been your biggest moment on the football field?

I’m not really sure; I have a lot of exciting times I have been a part of, but as a goal setter for myself, I feel I have big moments all the time. Being able to make your body do what your mind envisions is a big moment for anyone.

What are your personal goals for the 2025 season?

I want to win and want the state title again.

Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?

Baron Hardesty is one of the toughest competitors I’ve squared up with, but I love to do it every single day. I love the competition. Baron is more than competition to me; I consider him my brother. He makes me play harder, faster, and stronger every single play.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game with the team he played on?

Travis Moten's speed, height, and wingspan made him a very tough opponent to go against. It definitely made me play harder than I’ve ever played before.

Turf or grass?

Turf

As a lineman, what is the worst type of weather to play in?

Hot and sunny days! This is probably because I’m a ginger, and I burn really easily. It’s not easy to sunscreen up in between water breaks. 😆

What have you done during the off-season to improve your game?

I have worked very hard to put on some weight. I’ve improved my strength training, starting with my squat, bench, and power clean, four nights a week in the gym. I have also been blessed enough to have a few teammates work on the field with me to better adjust my blocks.

Would you share with everyone some of the schools that have shown interest in you?

I have received two offers, one from Hanover College and the other from Franklin College; however, I have a few other schools that I’m really interested in, and I would love to take a look at them.

Who are your favorite and least favorite college football teams?

My favorite college football teams are LSU and the Louisville Cardinals. And sticking with state rivalry, I would have to say my least favorite team would be the Kentucky Wildcats (but I really kind of like them all).

Favorite video game and system?

My favorite console is an Xbox, and my favorite video game is Minecraft.

Where are you going to get your sports news?

I use the ESPN app to get my sports news.

Recap

My junior year was a big turning point for me, as I was normally a defensive player. I was switched to an offensive left tackle because my team was hurting most in that area. Coach asked me if I would give it a try and play that position for him. I told him I would do anything to help my team. I ended up starting all 11 games in a position that I have never played before, and it turns out I really love OL too!!
