With this being your final high school football season, have you done anything differently as far as preparing for the season?

I've stepped up more as a leader for my team and really pushed myself the extra mile by getting extra in as much as I can and pushing the rest of the team to make sure we are ready come August.

What is the toughest part of being a lineman?

Being a big boy is great till it's 90-something outside.

What is the best part of being a lineman?

The linemen are their own family, and it is truly something special. Also, hand Swiping a kid into the turf in PassPro is great also.

Which teammate is the toughest to square up against at practice?

Talon Armacost, but now that he has graduated, it's going to be interesting to see who steps up.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

Adam Guthrie for Miami Trace—the guy has 43 D1 offers and was a unit out there.

Which game are you looking forward to the most this season?

Williamsburg every year is a great game, and for it to be my last regular season home game, it's going to mean a lot and most likely will be a fight for league champs.

What is the worst type of weather for you as a lineman to play in?

A really muddy field makes it very hard to keep my footing.

What type of lineman is the toughest to face in a game?

The really fast lineman always makes it a fun match up.

Turf or grass?

A 10/10 grass is better than a 10/10 turf, but a 5/10 turf is better than a 5/10 grass.

If you are invited to play in any of the statewide all-star games after the season, will you?

Absolutely!

If you are hearing from any colleges, would you name one or two?

I've gotten a ton of camp invites from almost every school around and can't wait to go and compete.

What was the last book that you read, along with the author?

I'm starting Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

What is your go-to snack?

Welch's fruit snacks

Who are your favorite and least favorite pro football teams?

My favorite is the Cincinnati Bengals, and my least favorite is the Chiefs.

I’m going to miss the amount of leadership the 2025 class had, but luckily the 2026 class has many leaders as well. What were your personal goals for the 2024 season? Athens Bulldogs use balanced attack to down Wellston Golden Rockets 41-0

  *Using the rosters from both Hudl and Max Preps* The Plains, OH Last night I made the hour-long drive to Athens High School to watch the Bulldogs host the Golden Rockets of Wellston. Entering the game, the Bulldogs came in 7-0 and ranked number 10 in division three. Wellston, much improved from last season, entered 5-2. In the game last year, Athens won 47-28. Wellston started out doing exactly what they needed to do to have a shot at winning the game. They came out and ate most of the first quarter with a drive that had last for 15 plays going for 69 yards. Things would start going wrong for them on the sixteenth play of the drive. They faced fourth and four from the Bulldogs five, and they elected to go for it, where the pass and the second attempt of the drive fell incomplete, forcing a turnover on downs. On the drive facing a third and one, Seth Lambert picked up twelve. Later on the drive facing third and fifth, Johhny Scott picked up 10-yards after he could not find anyon...
