How long have you played basketball, and who or what got you started?

I have been playing for about 12 years now, it was both my mother and watching a lot of NBA that got me into playing.

What were your personal goals heading into the season?

Definitely wanted to score a lot more, be a leader, and be that calming presence in pressure game.

What goals had you set for your team this season?

We wanted to win the conference, go deep in playoffs, and be the best defensive team in the are.

In watching some of your HUDL highlights, one thing that sticks out is your quick shot. Which part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

I have always thought my floater game is the strongest part of my game. I’m really good at coming down the lane and stopping short with a floater, knowing most defenders are anticipating me to go in for a physical finish

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team they played on?

Defined Paige Kholer who played for Olmsted falls a few years ago. She controlled the pace of every game and was so good at getting to her spot

Focusing on just this season, which win meant the most? Explain.

I would say either the Magnificat or brush game, but I think the brush game would outweigh. We have worked so hard to get to where we are, and coming in as underdogs in that game and winning was amazing.

Again, focusing on this season, which loss stung the most?

The 2nd Olmsted falls game sucked the most. It was for the conference and they beat us on our home court.

What is one memory up to now on the court or off the court that sticks out to you the most from this season?

I would say at the end of the brush game we all jumped on top of each other and ended up in a dog pile on the floor. That was kinda just an amazing moment for us knowing how much we all love each other

What were your emotions as the clock ran down against Brush and you knew you and the team were going to the state final game?

Relief was the first emotion to come up. It was so up and down the whole game and we didn’t know what to expect on any possession. With that talented of a team, they are capable of going on a 10-0 run like it’s nothing, so definitely relief knowing we had it sealed.

What must you and the team do to defeat Purcell Marian and become state champions?

Like we have always said defense will win us every game. We did a great job of stopping brush who has an Ohio ms basketball nominee, so we are just going to have to do it again. It’s not going to be easy with Dee Alexander on the other team, but we believe we can beat anyone, anywhere.

What is your favorite drill and least favorite drill to do in practice?

My favorite would be this 4 on 4 closer drill we do. My least favorite would definitely have to be a face guarding drill where your girl can’t get the ball for 30 second.

Are you hoping to play basketball in college?

I am committed to play basketball at the university of Mount union for the next 4 years

What is your go-to snack?

Go to snack is definitely chips and dip

What is your favorite class or subject?

Favorite class would be history

What is your favorite type of music?

Pop
