First, congrats to you and the team on the state championship.
Thank you!
You are very active as you not only play basketball, but you also are on the track team and you are on the soccer team. Could you explain to everyone how tough it is to be involved in all three sports and keep up on your schoolwork?
It is very difficult to manage both athletics and academics at the same time. Between 2 hour practice, lifts, extra time put into each sport and school it can become very stressful and overwhelming but you just need to take it day by day.
Of the three sports, which one is the toughest to prepare for?
It was hard for all three… Soccer and basketball with all the foot skills and ball handling but with track and the skill development needed to preform at your highest level.
Of the three sports, which one do you feel you are the best at?
I personally feel I’m naturally best at soccer but I have had the most success in basketball.
As the clock hit triple zeros and you all were officially state champs, what were your feelings?
I was emotional and had to regather myself after crying and hugging my teammates and family.
Over your high school basketball career, who was the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team they played on?
I would have to say Liv Lindeman from Delphos Jefferson. She can shoot from a far distance but is also built to drive and get a lot of baskets down low.
Who was the best team that you faced during your high school basketball career, along with the thing that made them so good?
Minster or Crestview due to the high skill level in each and every player on both ends of the court.
What will you miss the most from playing high school basketball?
The teammates, coaches, and the community at each and every game supporting me.
What do you feel is the best part of your basketball game?
My 15 footer or my deep range from the 3 along with being able to see the court well.
What has been the best and worst part of the college basketball recruiting process?
Best ~ Getting to know all the coaches and players from various schools.
Worst ~ the time and dedication it takes to reach out to them and go on all the visits.
Would you share with everyone a few of the schools that recruited you?
The two main schools that recruited me were Findlay and Malone.
What made you choose Findlay?
It’s close to home and family means a lot when it comes to their support. Not only that but when I visited I felt a strong connection with the coaches and players.
What is your favorite class or subject?
Lifetime Fitness (strength and conditioning class)
What is your favorite type of music?
Any type of worship or country
Who is your favorite college or pro athlete?
Tara Davis-Woodhall or Sydney McLaughlin. They are both track athletes with a great sense of humor and dedication towards what they do and how they do it.
