Eastern (Beaver) 64 Symmes Valley 45

This was a tight game for a quarter; 18-15, Eastern led, then Tucker Leist went off for five three-pointers in the 2nd quarter. He would have 28 at the half, ending the game with 30 points. Eastern took a 43-26 lead into the locker rooms. After three, the Eagles led 58-38. In the final frame with the benches emptied, there were just a combined 13 points scored, making the final score 64-45 Eagles.

The first quarter had seven different lead changes. Eastern dominated the boards in the quarter, especially on the offensive end, where I had them with five. Overall, Eastern had tight defense and looked a step fresher than the Vikings.

Ethan Smith led the Vikings with 17 points and 6 boards. Tanner Corn chipped in with 12 points. For the Eagles, Leist, along with his 30 points, had 6 boards and 4 assists. Cade Leist had 7 points, 7 boards, and 6 assists. Boston Webb and Aiden Werner each had 8 points.
