2027

5’4, 120

Awards won or earned: Freshman year, 1st team all-league, 2nd team all-district, Honorable Mention all-state.

How long have you played basketball?

7 years now!

What or who got you started playing basketball?

My family, my dad, and Papaw both played, so they got me into it as well!

What is the best part of being the point guard?

The trust my teammates have in me. No matter what, they look to me to know what to do. This is definitely a huge responsibility, but it makes me a better player.

What is the toughest part of being the point guard?

Making sure my mind is in the game, and I know what is going on at all times. Not only am I responsible for myself, but I have to make sure every one of our players is in the right spot at all times.

What are your personal goals for the 2024-2025 season?

To better myself as an all-around player. Last year, I mainly drove the ball and scored off of layups. This year, I’ve started to be more comfortable shooting the 3-ball and shooting mid-range jumpers.

What goals have you set for your team?

We are very young this year; preparing ourselves for the future is a big goal we have set. Building our offense and learning how to play together is something we’ve worked very hard at. My main goal for us this year was to learn or play together.

What has been your biggest moment on the court?

Passing of the game-winning shot to my teammate against Oak Hill. Everyone collapsed on me because they thought I would take the last shot.

What has been your lowest moment as a basketball player?

Learning to be confident in myself and trust the work I’ve put in.

Who has been the best player you have faced in a game, along with the team she played on?

Morgan Lyons from South Gallia, she could shoot, drive, and play defense. Along with being long and hard to shoot over.

Who is the best team that you have faced, along with what made them so good?

South Gallia, all 5 players on the floor were major threats. So we had to play defense very, very well. They were also very tall and rebounded well, which was another struggle for us.

What makes you a good teammate?

Supporting my teammates and them being able to trust me.

What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

Being able to adapt to the game. If I’m not shooting from outside well, I can drive and get to the free-throw line. If I can’t do that, I can make defensive plays to help our team.

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?

My mom’s pancakes and bacon.

What is your favorite class or subject?

I live on a farm and show livestock, so agriculture class is my favorite!

Who is your favorite athlete?

Cade Stover, he played tight end at Ohio State. He is my favorite because he is from a farm in Ohio and raised cattle. He made it big and is now in the NFL.
