How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?
I’ve played organized football for 2 years now, and I continue to play because it’s the first thing I fell in love with and I’ve loved it all of my life.
What was the high point of the 2024 season?
The high point of the season to me was the first time we played Noblesville Christian this year. It was my last time playing in front of my RB coach, so it was bittersweet, but I ran for a season high (at the time) of 266 yards and 3 TDs.
What was the low point of the 2024 season?
The low point of the season to me was our last game. It hurt not being able to get it done and send our seniors out on a win.
Just focusing on this past season, who was the best player that you faced, along with the team he played on?
I’d have to say two guys that play for the Northern Virginia Centurions: WR Shepphard Jones and QB Gabe Drown. Gabe’s ability to put the ball in tight windows and Sheppard’s ability to make tough catches stood out to me.
Who was the best team that you faced this past season, along with the things that made them so good?
The best team we faced this past season was Cincinnati Landmark. What made them so good was their offense. They had the best offensive line we faced all season, and they had multiple players on their offense that were dangerous play makers in space because of their ability to make defenders miss.
I watched you guys play four times this season, and what stuck out to me about you is that you run with power that a 5-7, 170-pound runner should not have, and you have sped to burn. What part of your game do you feel is your best?
In my opinion, my ability to change directions and vision while making cuts is the best part of my game.
Which part of your game do you feel you need to improve on the most before the 2025 season?
The part of my game that needs the most improvement before 2025 is adding more muscle mass so I can continue to be a powerful runner and prepare my body for the next level.
Can you share with the readers where the Crusaders play their home games?
We play our home games at Worthington Christian School Athletic Complex.
Which stadium that you have played in as a member of the Crusaders has been your favorite?
My favorite stadium to play in so far has been Indiana Wesleyan’s stadium. There’s nothing like playing in a college stadium.
If you could pick a local school to play a game against, who would it be and why?
If I could pick a school to play at, it would be Worthington Christian. Our club team operated out of there in the past before they started their own football program. There’s no bad blood there; I’d just be curious to see how we measure up to each other.
What do you feel are the advantages of playing for the Columbus Crusaders over O.H.S.A.A. schools?
I think the Crusaders do a good job of the long-term success and well-being of their players better than most football programs. I feel the coaches have helped me grow and mature physically, mentally, and spiritually.
What are the disadvantages of playing for the Columbus Crusaders compared to playing for an OHSA school?
The biggest disadvantage of playing for the Crusaders rather than an OHSAA school is the limited exposure. OHSAA schools often provide more exposure to college scouts and recruiters due to their official status and the visibility of their competitions, which can make it easier for players to get noticed for college-level opportunities.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
I love to workout, and conveniently enough, I have a home gym, which allows me to stay consistent with no excuses.
What is your go-to snack?
Sour Patch Kids
Who is your favorite athlete?
Michael Jordan
