What have you learned about your team during the season that you did not know during summer workouts and practices?

That we are a very hard-working team, and we are not afraid of anything or anyone.

What has been the best part of the season so far?

The best part of the season is after getting a great win against Kenston in just celebrating with my brothers!

Who is the best player that you have faced this season, along with the team he played for?

The best player I have faced was number 78 on Ursuline.

Who has been the best team that you have faced this season, along with the reasons you believe they were so good?

The best team we faced this season was Ursuline. I just believed their defense was pretty good.

We as a team need to pick our heads up from the past two games in take on week at a time.

What is the toughest part of practice?

The toughest part of practice is when we have to condition at the end. LOL.

Which part of practice do you enjoy the most?

The funniest part of practice is team!!

What type of weather is the best for you to play in?

Cold weather is the best weather to play in.

Do you feel you are best on offense or defense?

I feel I'm the best on defense!

After the season is complete, will you play in any of the all-star games if you are invited?

I will consider playing in an all-star game.

Can you share with everyone any of the schools that you are being recruited by?

Right now I'm getting recruited by Tiffin Ohio, Ohio Dominican, a PWO from Central Michigan, and I'm getting looked at from a lot of other MAC schools.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class is art.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athletes are James Harrison and Michael Parsons.

What is your favorite type of music?

My favorite type of music is hip-hop.

Carson Neely, Port Allegany  Looking back from day one as a coach up to the present, what have been the low and high points of your coaching career? 2020 was a rough first year. We had maybe 15 kids on the roster in preseason sometime in late June. We ended up with probably 6 starters who had never played football in their lives, which isn’t exactly a recipe for success! The future did not look so bright. - But fast forward to 2022, where we won our first playoff game 62-6. In 2023, we won an overtime thriller against DuBois Area 14–13, avenging a 1-point loss at the 1-yard line the year prior.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
