What are your goals for the 2024 season?

Win the TVC.
1,000+ receiving yards
Lead the TVC in the receiving yard.
Lead the TVC in interception.

What do you believe the strongest part of your game is?

Being able to make plays on both sides of the ball. 

What part of your game must you improve to have a better season than you had last year?

Being a better leader for teammates, setting a good example in practice, and having that translate into the game. 

How much do you enjoy playing on the special teams unit?

Being able to put the team in a better position to score by returning the ball is big. 

What has been the highlight of your football career so far?

Hugh White, MVP of our game against Philo

What is your favorite part of practice?

Overall, being with the team, but I’d say team defensive,. 

Where on the field do you believe you are best at?

Slot Receiver

Looking at just the road games that you have played in, which stadium was the best to have played in?

Logan last year the field was nice and the environment of the game was great.

Have you gone to any camps during the off-season? If so, could you list some of them, along with the biggest thing you have learned from the camps? 

Cincinnati University, Ohio University, John Carroll... I learned to value every rep and to enjoy the process. 

Who is the one teammate who will do something funny when things are going rough at practice just to loosen things up? 

Seth Hart, one of our linebackers

Who is the best player that you have played against in a game, along with the team he played on?

Jordan Ball, Bloom Carroll 

After the season is over, if you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

Yes, depending on when they are. 

What is your favorite sports movie?

Space Jam 

What toppings go on your burger?

Lettuce, Tomato, Ketchup, and Cheese 

What is your favorite type of music?

Rap

Carson Neely, Port Allegany  Looking back from day one as a coach up to the present, what have been the low and high points of your coaching career? 2020 was a rough first year. We had maybe 15 kids on the roster in preseason sometime in late June. We ended up with probably 6 starters who had never played football in their lives, which isn’t exactly a recipe for success! In 2023, we won an overtime thriller against DuBois Area 14–13, avenging a 1-point loss at the 1-yard line the year prior.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
