Would you let the readers know about your coaching career?

From your first job to your current job?- My first coaching job was actually here for West Union Football. I started out as the Jr. High head coach last season but moved up to assist with the high school team.

What is the toughest part of coaching club football?

Probably trying to balance our work life and schedule with our football schedules.

What is the most rewarding art of coaching club football?

Getting to help all the kids that come through our program and watching them have fun on game days.

How does the coaches go about getting players?

We usually have returning players each year and donate a lot of our free time into reaching out to schools around who do not offer football.

Can you share with the readers where you guys get the players from?

We get a majority of players from our local High School and they help us recruit there friends while we visit other schools that do not offer

I am sure with a smaller staff you have to multi task as a coach. Can you share with the readers some of the things you are doing as a coach?

I currently assist with offense and defense. Coach special teams, running backs, kickers, punters, and linebackers. I also write the stats down during the games as of now.

With such low numbers have guys as a staff every thought to moving to 8-man football?

A lot of schools around here do not offer 8-man football. On average our roster consists of around 15 players and we try to switch players in and out to keep everyone healthy and game ready.

In your opinion what has to change to make things better not just for your team but for the league in general?

I personally believe that a lot of players will not play because of problems with certain schools coaches, and the rules in place prevent them from playing for a different club team other than their local one. I think a lot more players would play if there was a grey area in place for those players.

I have asked players who go to West Union if they play for the club team and they have all said no, but never really gave me an answer. How hard to you and the other coaches go after players who attend West Union?

We do recruit West Union High School students and most of our team is Students who do attend school there. We sit at the open house each year with sign up sheets but the majority of the kids play other sports or their parents don't want them to play football.

With such a small roster can you share with the readers some of the unique things the staff does as far as practice goes?

With a little roster we our able to break down our players by position and really be able to give them that one on one time they need in order to be successful.

As far as I can see you guys only have eight games schedule this season and I notice that league foe, Peebles, who also has just an eight game schedule is not on your schedule? Can you explain to the readers why that is?

We actually have 11 games this year including our league playoffs and championship. We play Peebles twice this year as well as North Adams.

I find it cool as fan of the high school game, that you guys have O.H.S.A.A. Sciotoville East on the schedule? Would you share with the readers how you guys as an organization look for non-league games?

The Directors and us coaches make a lot of calls in our spare time trying to get games outside our league. A lot of the time a team cancels on another team and then we have the opportunity to play a team like Sciotoville East.

Outside of coaching what are you doing for fun?
I mostly like to hunt and watch my favorite sports teams play.

What is your go-to snack?

Probably a bag of chips and a Dr. Pepper

Who is your favorite athlete?

Probably Dak Prescott or Darren Sproles.
