What’s a moment from last season that stands out to you?

Winning another state championship was special, but what stands out most are the relationships we built. From the locker room to summer workouts and even fishing together, those moments with my teammates are what I’ll remember most.

What type of defense is toughest to go against?

In 6A football, every team is talented and prepared, so you have to be locked in every Friday night—there are no easy games.

How would you describe your style of play?

I play with confidence and composure, and I take pride in leading and making smart decisions. I want to be someone my teammates can trust in any situation.

What was the highlight of the 2025 season?

The highlight was the relationships we built as a team and winning back-to-back state championships for our community. The town of Brownsburg rallies around the football program, so being able to do something special for the families and students means a lot. It’s something I’m proud to have been a part of.

Other than your own, which stadium do you enjoy playing in the most?

Lucas Oil Stadium. If you’re there, you know you’re playing for a state championship, and some of my best football memories have come in that environment.

Which road stadium is the toughest to play in?

All 6A stadiums bring their own challenges. When you’re playing at that level in Indiana, there are no Fridays off.

Best advice you’ve received about playing quarterback? Who gave it to you?

My dad has always told me, “Enjoy every second—you’re doing something you love with guys you love. Be present.” That’s something I carry with me every day.

What would it mean to play in the North vs. South All-Star game?

It would mean a lot to me. My dad has taken me to that game since I was little, so I grew up around it and around Indiana high school football. I’ve always had a deep respect for the history of the game in this state—from going to Brownsburg games Friday nights to state championships at Lucas Oil when I was a young buck—and the North-South game is a big part of that Indiana tradition. Being able to take part in something that connects so many great players, coaches, and people who have built the game over time would be really special.

What's the best part of being a student-athlete at Brownsburg?

The relationships and brotherhood you build. It goes beyond football with teammates, coaches, and the entire community.

Favorite part of practice?

The competition and the grind, especially in the summer. That’s where the foundation is built and where teams really come together.

Has the transfer portal made recruiting tougher for high school players?

I think it can be positive or negative depending on how it’s used. For me, I value staying in one place, building deeper relationships, and having a true home to come back to—both within the football program and the university as a whole.

Congrats on your Illinois State commitment—why did you choose them?

I chose Illinois State because I want to compete for championships, they have low player turnover, and I really believe in the coaching staff and the program. It feels like a place where I can grow, succeed, and be part of something long-term.

Have you watched any UFL games?

I think the UFL is a great development league. I’ve also gone back and watched old USFL games from the ’80s—seeing guys like Steve Young and Doug Flutie play and the level of talent they had competing with the NFL is pretty crazy.

Favorite sports movie or show?

The Rocky movies. Around our house you’ll hear, “Raise a son on the Bible and the Rocky movies, and it’s tough not to find success in life.”

If you could sit down with any athlete for an hour, who would it be?

Joe Montana. He was the GOAT, in my opinion—always performed under pressure, had a high football IQ, and seemed to balance football and family life really well. That balance is important to me.
