Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game—any moment that sticks out to you.

The second game of the season. We played the Atlas Rattlers from TX at the Lucas Oil Stadium. A rivalry game. Before the game, one of the coaches told us to remember the number “212”. That’s the number that water boils at. If we wanted to win the game, we would have to play at “212”. The score was predicted to be 42-12, Atlas. We all went out there and fought hard. The game ended in OT, 13-12. We won! It was the most memorable game of the season, not because of where we played, but because we came together as a team and defeated the odds!

Would you share with the readers what brought your move to Colorado?

My family. I have had the privilege to have my whole family and my brother’s family to also move out to Colorado. My oldest nephew is going into his freshman year, and I get to play with him. It will be our first season playing on the same team together.

How has your new teammates reacted to you?

They have been so welcoming. The made me feel accepted right away. We have a team dinner each week.

What are your goals for the season?

My goal for this season is to make the most of the time I have with my nephew on the team, and compete. To make the others around me better, and to help the team get to the state championship.

What are you looking forward to the most from the season?

The friendships I’ll be able to form. There is nothing like the brotherhood that gets formed on a football team. There is nothing teammates wouldn’t do for each other.

What are you doing during the off-season to take your game to another level?

I am participating in our summer camp, but also meeting with coaches to understand the playbook, concepts, and coverages as best I can. I am watching film and pro running backs to understand how I can improve. I ask tons of questions, constantly learning.

How would you explain your style of play to your new team?

My style of play: I am an adaptive player. I can hit the edge and make people miss or run between the guards and get the first. I can cover in man, play zone, or blitz. Place me in a position, and I will play it with 110% effort.

What do you feel is your biggest strength as a football player?

My effort. I will out-hustle almost every player I meet. I will never take a play off.

With this being your final high school football season are you approaching things differently than you have in the past? Explain

Don’t play with fear. Fly around. Have fun. I am playing with friends and family. Enjoy each moment. I am playing to enjoy the game. I will compete as hard as the next guy, but I’ve found that only pursuing the win ends up isolating people and not producing the relationships I’d like.

What was the best part of your 2025 season?

By far the friendships made. The games were made fun by the people I was playing with. We won games we lost, but still enjoyed, because the brotherhood was so close.

What was the toughest part of your 2025 season?

Some of the politics. Put a cloud of some of the games.

What will you remember the most about playing for Coach Goodpastor?

His constant drive for giving everything. And his priorities. He wasn’t hesitant about skipping a practice if his family needed him. He was inspirational for giving “everything he had, and a little bit more,” as he’d say.

What will you miss the most about playing for the Cincinnati Eagles?

The camaraderie. It was a life-giving experience for me.

You are asked to give a speech to your new teammates. What is your topic?

As the newest member of the football team, I would seek to make everyone around me better. I wish to improve the team as a whole, not just myself.

What scares you?

Not being a good teammate. Playing for myself. Not giving my all.

What is your favorite sports movie?

Remember the Titans.

God Bless,
Jordan Jacobson
