Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from practice.

Last season was very challenging due to several injuries throughout the whole team. Also moving all around playing wherever I was needed to help out the team. It was a great learning experience on how to be more versatile, and even though we didn’t finish the season how we wanted, that was a small, versatile victory for me.

What was the best part of the 2025 season?

Even though as a team the season was not successful, I was able to achieve one of the goals I had set for myself during preseason, and that was to win an IVC award.

What was the toughest part of the 2025 season?

The toughest part was losing our QB before the season during a scrimmage.

With this being your final high school football season, are you going to prepare any differently?

I would like to think I have always prepared to the best of my ability, but knowing this is my final year for high school and looking to play at the next level, I’m finding that I can push myself to new limits.

What makes you a good teammate?

My best attribute as a teammate is my ability to lead not only on the field but also in the weight room and the classrooms.

What are you looking forward to the most this season?

This season I am looking forward to our new coaching staff and seeing how they teach football and what new ideas they will bring to our program.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game along with the team he was on?

The best player I have faced is an RB from Indian Valley named Grady Kinsey; he has recently won Mr. Ohio for football and is committed to Air Force.

Of all of the wins that you have been part of, which one has meant the most? Explain

The win that has meant the most to me was my sophomore season against Newcomerstown. This win meant so much to me because we started down 14-0, and I had sacked the QB to force a punt on their final drive and came back to win on senior night 44-28, which put us into the playoffs.

Which defeat has stung the most?

This past season against Caldwell, Week 1 was the first game of the year and the first game in their new field. There was a lot of hype before the game, and then we ended up losing.

Turf or grass?

Turf

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned from playing sports?

You have to be disciplined enough to be mentally strong to get you through everything that comes at you.

What is the best advice that you have been given when it comes to playing sports, along with the source of the advice?

Win or lose, there is always something you can learn from the games.

An incoming seventh grader comes up to you and asks you why he should play football. What are you going to say to him?

It is great for team building and discipline and forms a great work ethic.

Have you watched any of the UFL games?

No

You were asked to cook a meal for your family. What are you cooking?

I would cook up some steak, mashed potatoes, and corn for sure.

What is the one song you could listen to over and over, along with the group?

Definitely Many Men by 50 Cent
