Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

My teammate was having a rough day and was hurting badly but pushed through the pain; he just went slow at practice. We all thought it was hilarious, but I'm proud of him for pushing through his troubles.

What was the best part of the 2025 season?

I would have to say either going to Canes with our team after every game or our practices; we like to go at it, but we all just have a good time, and it helped us all bond.

What was the toughest part of the 2025 season?

The hardest part, I would say, was week 1. I had a partial tear in my calf, and because of it, I missed week 2. I pushed through it and played week 3, but it was hard because I really wanted to play; I hate being on the sidelines and watching. I want to help my team to win.

How would you describe your style of play?

I would describe my play as dominant. I like to overpower the defender and drive them as far as I can. I like to use my power/strength/skill to make the defender do whatever I want.

What are you working on the most this off-season to take your game to the next level?

I’ve been working on my footwork, making sure I’m taking the right steps, and I practice my pass pro a lot, and I’ve been practicing my punch. My punch is really good.

What part of your game do you feel is the strongest?

I would say my pass pro because my dad’s been coaching me since I was in 2nd-3rd grade. Then I went to a training group in Oklahoma for 3–4 years, and the main thing we focused on was pass pro. It’s one of the most important parts of being a lineman. At the same time, though, my run game is well-rounded. I move defenders well and get them to where I need.

What is the best part of being an offensive lineman?

The best part about it is dominating the opponents. When you are run blocking and destroy a kid in a block, you can’t beat that feeling of winning that well.

Who or what got you started playing football?

My family got me started in football; my dad, uncle, and grandpa all played Division 1 football. My dad played at Missouri, my uncle played at the University of Oklahoma, and my grandpa played at Arkansas in 1964 and won the national championship there. They have always been there to support me through struggles and anything I’ve ever needed. My dad introduced football to me in the 1st grade, and I thank him for that all the time because it means so much to me. Football is my life, and it’s what I do; I mean, I bleed football.

What are your personal goals for the season?

My personal goals for the season are to make All-State, to hopefully win a state championship, to win our division, to beat all our rivals, and to absolutely dominate the other teams.

What team goals will you set?

My goals: I will set them to get better every day, with games, practices, and all the extra work I put in. I just want to get better to be the best player I can be.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned from playing high school football?

The biggest lesson is to take it seriously all the time, and what I mean by that isn’t like don’t have fun at practice or never have fun with football; that’s not what I mean. I mean when you need to be locked in, stay locked in. If you need to do something, do it the best you can every time. Take everything there is to do seriously, but have fun while doing it.

What makes you a good teammate?

What makes me a good teammate is how I can bring up a team morale, whether that’s with help spotting a teammate, giving a teammate a ride home, helping them with whatever they need, and how hard I push others, whether that’s in the weight room, on the field, in school, or anything that I think I can help push them in and make them better.

Where should the state finals be held?

I think the state final should be held in between the two schools that are going to be competing because that bus ride right up there for one team is 30 minutes and for the other a couple hours is a really big difference. That bus ride will get you tightened up before games, which might make you not perform as well unless you take the right preparation, so I feel like that it should be held in between the schools so they have the same bus ride so that it’s fair.

What is a skill or talent that you have that would shock those around you?

One skill from football is that I play golf, and I’m pretty good. I usually shoot around the 80s. One talent I have in football is my grip strength; if I get my hands on someone, I’m not letting go.

Have you watched any of the UFL games?

Yes, I’ve watched a few UFL games. I think they’re pretty interesting.

What is your favorite class or subject?

I would say my favorite class is either history or biology; both my teachers are great. They make the class very interesting, and it really just comes to me naturally. I love to learn about history, and I love to learn, like, everything about life, just how everything works.
