(Softball/Game Report) Georgetown 13 Deer Park 00 5 Innings

Georgetown (9-1) had zero problems hammering Deer Park (5-7). Deer Park has gone two straight games without scoring a run. Georgetown on the other hand has scored 23 runs over their last two games and to add icing to the cake they have shutout their last two opponents.

This one was over after the first inning where Georgetown scored eight runs. They would score one in the second and then top off their scoring with four in the third. For the game the winners had just seven hits compared to three for Deer Park. A huge difference in this one would be zero errors for the winners and five or Deer Park.

For Deer Park, Rosalyn Stanley, Grace Louden, and  MaryKate Leland each had singles. For Georgetown, Zoey Poirier-Kelch had and a triple and she scored twice. Brooklyn Brownlee had a hit, 2 RBI and she scored twice. Ashley Mullins and Morgan Preston each had a hit and 2 RBI. Brenalyn Hudson, Brylee Faul, and Layla Beath each drove in a run. Faul and Beath each had two-hits.

Faul threw the five-inning complete game, striking out seven and allow zero walks.

Leland  also went the distance giving up ten earned runs.
