Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.

Week 7 was senior night, and we started out slow.  It was 3rd & long on our own 26, and we needed a big play.  We had a drive concept called to the field put pocket pressure pushed me to the boundary.  Sincere was running a post, but saw I was in trouble. We made eye contact, and got back outside to give me a chance to put it up.  He was in triple coverage, and I threw him a jump ball along the sideline where he only had a chance to get it.  He caught the ball and got his foot down for a 40-yard gain. That catch changed the energy of the game, and stadium. The play is the 1st play on my highlight reel pinned to the top of my X page.

What was the best part of the 2025 season?

Our week 4 game was incredible.  It was our 1st game on the road, and our 1st real test coming off of 3 blowout wins.  The intensity was high the entire game, and both teams wanted to win bad.  We had a 1st in goal situation mid-way through the 4th that we didn’t convert.  The D got the ball back giving us great field position at our opponents 20 after they went for it on 4th down.  We scored and got a two-point conversion putting us up by 15 for the win.  The bus ride there was great, but the ride home was incredible.

What was the toughest part of the 2025 season?

When we lost our 1st game of the season in week five.  It was a bad game all around, and nothing felt like it went right.  It was the 1st game where we didn’t respond to adversity, and pull ourselves up.
What type of defense do you like to face the most? Explain
For me, it’s more how I like to play against a Defense vs which one is better to play against.  They all have strengths and weaknesses.  I want to use tempo and speed to take away their time to think/set up/communicate, and know we’re attacking them.  I want to call the play at the LOS against what the defense is giving us pre-snap vs guessing how they’re going play us from the sideline.

What did you learn from last season that you will use to be a better player this season?

Last year was my 1st year starting as a sophomore.  It seemed like there was something to learn every snap at times.  I spent two years prior to starting on emotional mind set, and cognitive focus training.  On the field I definitely learned that this type of training did just as much to get me ready as any other area of training.  I’m working even harder this year in these areas to quite the noise around me, and to process information even faster.

What is your favorite condition to play in as far as weather goes?

Cold weather over heat, and light rain over heavy rain.

How would you describe your style of play to a college coach?

I’m a rhythm QB who attacks what the defense is giving me pre-snap, and is capable of consistently making off schedule plays if needed.  Safety alignment pre-snap tells me what side of the field we’re attacking.  CB & LB depth/leverage sets play progression & identifies the defender key.  I double check the run box to see if we are neutral or have an advantage to audible into a run.  Post-snap I use defender movement and hip angle to decide where I’m throwing the ball.
What makes a quarterback throw into double coverage?
For me it starts with film study, and my coverage grade on each defender.  To attempt it, does my guy have the advantage over the coverage, and there can be no chance he’s going to get crushed after the catch.  If I decide we can make the throw then I’m looking for a hole where only my guy can make a play on the ball, and still turn up field/safely get out of bounds.  Finally, I have to have enough space to step into the throw, and drive the ball into the hole.  Down, distance, and game situation can come into play as well.

What is something you would love to do in a game but might never have the chance to?

I would love to throw a TD with my left arm!

How do you get over a bad game?

It starts with a good night sleep to calm my mind so I can be honest.  The first thing I do is get into the film, and review each play.  It starts with my mechanics, and if I delivered a good football.  Next, I look at the decision I made, and if what happened was what I saw.  Now, I go back to my pre-snap reads to make sure I didn’t miss a better option.  Finally, I review all my notes looking for patterns to correct prior to the next game.  This process needs to be finished by Monday morning so I’m ready to discuss with the coaching staff, and teammates.  Good game, this process is finished by Thursday morning.

How important is it to you that the team not only get along on the field but also off of it too?

Team chemistry is everything, and it’s what makes Football so special.  For a team to perform on the field it must build consistent relationships off the field.  As a QB I rely on them to know what I’m thinking as they process information on the field.

What part of your game are you hoping to improve before the season starts?

Always working to improve accuracy.  It can never be high enough.  My focus this offseason is how to improve ball placement.  It starts with grading every pass I throw as On Target = OT, and Not On Target = NOT.  An OT throw has to be in the direction the receiver is moving, bottom of chest plate to 2” above the head, can’t turn his palms up, and not force him to leave his feet unless it’s a clear jump ball.  My second focus is being honest about Drops.  If it didn’t match the OT rules it’s graded as a HH or Hit Hands not a Drop.  I track how often I throw OT, HH, and look for patterns in my NOT throws to correct.

If you could change one rule in high school football, what rule are you changing?

NJ has a terrible mercy rule that triggers a running clock in the second half.  It basically allows for 1 possession each per team per quarter.  I would like them to modify this rule to keep the time on the clock, and force teams to use those valuable reps to play subs.

Have you watched any of the UFL games?

I haven’t really watched much of the UFL.  The offseason is so busy, and as the weather in the North East starts to change everything ramps up.  I do like that there’s another path to play after college.  I was always told play until someone or your body tells you that you can’t anymore.

If you had one hour to speak to any athlete throughout history, who are you talking to?

Definitely Tom Brady!  He is really on the front end of the mental performance world.  I would love to talk to him about the adversities he faced in his journey, how he dealt with doubters, and in game tools to effectively direct emotions.

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?

Chicken Parm with Garlic Bread
