(State Final) Shaker Heights Laurel 60 Bellevue 58

What a game this one turned out to be Laurel would win by two points when Tristan Williams calmly sank two free throws with just four seconds left in the game and to put the final touch of icing on the cake Jordyn Meyer had a steal to seal the win.

The game was so close that it would see a total of 14 ties and 13 lead changes. For Laurel, it was their first state title and making it just a tad sweeter they did it against the defending state champs who entered the game undefeated.

Meyer had a game high 26 points to go with 3 steals. Williams had 19 points and 8 assists. As a team Laurel shot 47.8% from the floor including 7-20 from three point land. They hit 69.2% from the free-throw line but went 4-4 in the second half.

For Bellevue Ava Jakubcin-Theis led the way with 20 points and 8 boards. Carrington Savage checked in with 15 points. Kaitlyn Turinsky had a double, double, with 14 points and 10 boards.
