(Baseball Game Report) Whetstone 8 Liberty Christian Academy 1

My first baseball game of the season took me back to Whetstone High to watch the Braves host the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles. Before I get into the game, I wanted to say it was nice to speak to Head Coach Tim Broskie again and to thank him for the roster and his starting lineup. Second, I wanted to say it was nice to meet and speak to August Johnson and to thank him again for the interview.

Now to the game, the Braves would jump out front 6-0 after four innings. So key hits and walks coupled with some fielding problems were keys in the Braves getting the lead.

The Eagles would get their only run in the fifth inning due to an error on the Braves and some nice hustle by the Eagels base runner. For the game the Eagles had five errors and the Braves just one, though they could have been given a second error on the play that the Eagles scored on.

The Braves capped off the scoring with two runs in the fifth. For the game the Eagles had just three hits, and the Braves totaled ten.

Dawson Kamppi had a hit and the only RBI for the Eagles. For the Braves, Oliver Hittle, Laz Benson, and Kai Moses each totaled two hits. August Johnson had a hit and drove in two.
