Please post something from last season that sticks out to you. It can be from a game, practice, or something funny on the bus ride to or from the game. Any moment that sticks out to you.
One moment that really sticks out to me was breaking a long touchdown run in the fourth quarter during a close conference game. We needed a spark, and when I hit the hole and took it to the house, I could feel the whole sideline and crowd shift. It wasn’t just about the touchdown—it was about helping my team get momentum when we needed it most.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Michigan City High School Football Team?
It was emotional. I felt proud of how far I’ve come as a player and teammate, but also grateful for my coaches and brothers I went to battle with every Friday night. Putting on that Michigan City jersey meant a lot to me.
What are you going to miss the most from playing high school football?
I’m going to miss the bond with my teammates the most. The early morning lifts, practices in the heat, bus rides, and Friday night lights all build something special that you can’t really replace.
What was the biggest lesson that you learned from playing high school football?
The biggest lesson I learned is that discipline and consistency matter more than talent. Showing up every day, even when you’re tired or sore, is what separates good from great.
Looking back on your high school football career, is there anything you wish you would have done differently?
I wish I would have spent even more time studying film earlier in my career. Once I realized how much the mental side of the game matters, it elevated my play.
What was your biggest moment on the field?
My biggest moment was scoring the game-winning touchdown in a rivalry game. Being able to help seal a big win for my team is something I’ll never forget.
If you are invited to play in the North vs. South game, will you?
Yes, I would absolutely accept the invitation. It would be an honor to represent Michigan City one more time.
Of all the wins, which one meant the most? Explain
The rivalry win meant the most because of the history behind it and how hard we prepared all week. Seeing our community celebrate with us made it even more special.
Which loss stung the most?
Our playoff loss stung the most because we knew we had the talent to go further. It hurt knowing that was the last time we’d play together as a group.
Who was the best player you played against, as well as the team he was on?
The best player I played against was a Division I defensive back from our conference rival. He was physical, fast, and smart—and competing against him pushed me to elevate my game.
What makes you a good teammate?
I bring energy, accountability, and leadership. I hold myself to a high standard and encourage others to do the same. I’m always willing to support my teammates on and off the field.
How would you describe your style of play?
Explosive, physical, and determined. I run with power but also have the speed to break away. I’m always fighting for extra yards.
Why should a college coach recruit you?
A college coach should recruit me because I bring work ethic, coachability, and competitiveness every single day. I’m not afraid of hard work, and I’m always looking to improve my game.
Who are your role models?
My parents and my coaches are my biggest role models because they’ve taught me discipline, resilience, and how to carry myself the right way.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
My favorite home-cooked meal is baked chicken, mac and cheese, greens, and cornbread.
Who is your favorite athlete?
My favorite athlete is Saquan Barkley.
