Please post something from last season, like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice. Anything that sticks out to you:
I’d have to say the game against Leechburg—they blew us out the year before, 50-27, but this year we only lost by one, 47-46. It was a big nail-biter. They were one of the biggest teams in our conference, and playoffs were on the line. I had 5 total touchdowns. I threw for 230 yds and 4 pass TDs, and I ran for 120 yds and 1 TD, definitely a huge game for me.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Brentwood football team?
It was tough to register; it didn’t really feel like that it was my last time playing with the guys I grew up with and did everything with.
What do you think you will miss the most from playing high school football?
Definitely the locker room and going out to eat after the practices with my team and the bus ride home after a win.
Of all the road games that you played in, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere?
I’d say Elwood City because it’s a small town, and their stadium was right in the middle of everything, so it seemed like the whole town was there. They had an old-school vibe.
Which of the wins during your career meant the most?
As a freshman it was my 2nd game starting, and we beat Waynesburg 27-14, and I had 3 touchdowns.
Which loss stung the most?
My junior year against Jeanette was one of my best games. My team hadn’t made it to the playoffs in 6 years at the time, and if we beat them, we were guaranteed a playoff spot, and they were a really good team, but we came out short 42-41.
What made you a good teammate?
Leading by example and with passion, helping my teammate out in any way I could on the field or off the field
What was your biggest accomplishment as a football player?
I have the most all-purpose yards and TDs in my school at QB.
Who was the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
Matt Sieg, Fort Cherry QB
If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?
Yeah, for sure, I’ll fully embrace that opportunity.
How would you describe your style of play?
I freestyle; I don’t have an exact style. I make the best out of the play with seasoning.
Why should a college coach recruit you?
Because I’m a very hard worker, and I love the game, and I’m passionate about it, and I’ve been working for the big moments on the field since I was 5.
Could you share with the readers how the recruiting process is going, as well as some of the schools that you are hearing from?
Not how I want it to go at the moment. I haven’t really heard from schools, but God had something planned. I still have faith.
Where is the best local establishment to grab a bite?
Rowdy’s BBQ or 51 Wings is good to
If you could sit down and talk sports with any athlete, who would you be speaking with?
Shedur Sanders
What is your biggest fear?
The ocean
