Please post a small recap of last season with something like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice:
For me, I would say our rivalry game against Kilbourne in week 2. I had 10 tackles, 2 TFLs, and a sack. Even though we lost, that was the best game I think I've had in my life.
What are you going to miss the most from the seniors from the 2025 team?
I’m going to miss their leadership for sure; we had a lot of great leaders on our team, like Joesph Brewu, Nick Zalewski, and Jayden Envid.
What do you feel was the lowest part of the 2025 season?
I mean, our record was 1-9, but I would say the lowest part was after our loss in week 5, and the preparation for week 6 was really low, and it showed because at halftime it was 40-0.
What was the best part of the 2025 season?
For me, the best part of the season, even though I was injured, was watching my team win their first game in almost 2 years.
What was your biggest moment on the field this season?
This is tricky, but I would say week 5 against Pick North is getting my team started. In the first 2 drives, I had 4 tackles, a TFL, and a sack.
What was your most embarrassing moment this season?
Getting injured on the very first play of the game in week 6, it was kickoff, and I ran down, made the tackle, and broke my collarbone.
Who was the best player that you faced in a game this season?
This one is tricky, but I would say Jarin Mock from Pickerington High School North.
Which part of your game do you believe you improved the most this season?
I would say above all else, I’ve improved my mental aspect of the game, as far as preparation and fighting adversity.
What one play or game will you remember the most from this season?
Even though I didn’t play, I’m never going to forget the happiness I saw in my teammates’ faces when we were able to pull it off and get a W against Grove City.
Which loss stung the most this season?
For me personally, I also didn’t play in this game, but losing to Marysville is never a good feeling fs. Worthington Kilbourne is a close 2nd.
Which teammate was the hardest to square off against in practice?
Oh, Jacob Ellinger and Dior Burel, hands down. They were our left tackle and guard for us. When I was playing D-line, they never failed to give me a look every rep.
What made you a good teammate this year?
I would say fighting through adversity and, despite being injured for practically half the season, still showing up to practices and games with an uprooting attitude and cheering my guys on.
What must you and the team do better this off-season to ensure the 2026 season will be better than the 2025 season?
Get to work, no days off. You see, my team has a chance to turn it all around. In 2024, we were 0-10; this past year, we were 1-9, so we just have to keep improving and work 1 day at a time.
Who are your role models?
I don’t necessarily have role models; there are people who I look up to as far as studying their film, for example. Dylan Stewart, South Carolina; T.J. Parker, Clemson; and Colin Simmons, Texas
What scares you?
God
What is your favorite class or subject?
In middle school it was hands down PE and math, but these past couple of years I’ve been really interested in history and social studies class. This past semester, I also took this economy and personal financial literacy class that I really enjoyed.
