What was the best part of the 2025 season?

Week 1 win vs. Rowan County

What were you feeling as you walked off the field for the last time as a high school football player?

I definitely remember thinking, "This is probably it." At the time, I had no offers. I was very sad walking off the field. I went straight to my teammates, then to my parents, then to the coaches. I was very sad walking off.

What was the highlight of your high school football career?

Probably that win vs. Rowan County made us think we were going to take off and challenge for the second place in the district.

What loss stung the most? Explain

The week after, in week 2, we lost to Floyd Central, who went 0-11 the year before, because we couldn’t stop a go and a hitch route.

What makes you a good teammate?

I’ll always be the guy that is there early and last to leave. I’ll stay and get that extra work in and push guys to be better, especially younger guys. I want to push them to be better than I.

What mark do you believe your class left on the football program?

We were the first class to be under our coach for a full 4 years, and in that time we had so much growth, the younger classes can see our growth as a group.

What was the best part of being a member of the Magoffin County football family?

The brotherhood in the locker room and pregame meals from boosters—I’ll never have that feeling like that again. High school football was special.

What do you think you are going to miss the most from playing high school football?

My teammates that I’ve played with since we were kids and just the joy every pregame nerves brought and watching Hudl after the game—I’ll miss all of that.

What was the biggest lesson you learned from playing high school football?

That football applies to everything in life; the work ethic and grind shown on the field is what you put in off the field.

Do you feel that the transfer portal in college football is making it harder for high school players to get recruited?

Yes, absolutely. I have to wait longer to hear from coaches while the portal is open. I’m very pro-transfer portal, but it very much hurts the high school kid trying to make it to the next level.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

You're going to get an A+ student and A+ athlete who will take how serious he is in the weight room and field as seriously as he will be in the classroom.

Would you share with the readers some of the schools that you have heard from, along with how the recruiting process has gone?

I currently have 2 offers from Union Commonwealth University and McPherson University, both NAIA offers, and I have official visits to UPIKE on the 30th and Union on the 31st of January.

What is a style or fad your generation has that you just don't get or understand?

Some of the sayings nowadays

What scares you?

Heights

Louisville or Kentucky?

Kentucky L’s down BBN.
