Please post something from last season, like a big game you had, something about a certain game, something from a bus ride to or from the game, or something that sticks out from a practice. Anything that sticks out to you.

I’d have to say the Highland Park game. I had 2 interceptions and one for a pick 6. That was a big moment for the team because we had previously lost to them in round 4 last game, so to be able to go and perform like that was special to me.

What was the best part of playing high school football?

The best part was the brotherhood. Knowing that every day at school, I was going to be around the guys that I now consider my brothers. Being with people I actually like made everything fun and made us want to win so much more.

What was the toughest part of playing high school football?

The toughest part was balancing football with school, workouts, and recovery. It takes discipline every single day, especially during the season.

I know the last game did not go the way you had hoped. But, you guys had a terrific season. What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a high school football player?

It was emotional. I was proud of what we accomplished as a team, but it hurt knowing that chapter was over. At the same time, I was thankful for every moment and every lesson the game gave me.

What was your biggest accomplishment as a high school football player?

Becoming a team captain and earning the respect of my teammates and coaches. That meant more to me than any stat or award.

147 tackles, with 96 being solo tackles. That’s awesome. Could you briefly explain to the readers what all goes into having those kinds of stats?

It comes from preparation, film study, trust in my keys, and effort. I take pride in getting to the ball and finishing plays. My teammates also deserve credit because everyone doing their job allows me to make plays.

What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

My instincts and physicality. I read plays quickly, and I’m not afraid to attack downhill and make tackles.

What made you a good teammate?

I always tried to lead by example, whether that was in the weight room, at practice, or on game nights. I held myself accountable and encouraged others to do the same.

Who was the best player that you faced on the field, along with the team he was on?

The best players I’ve ever played with come from the team I’m currently on. Davian Groce, Trey Wright, Rece Hoyt, and Ryder Mix—they are all weapons, and I’m glad I was on their team.

I am based in Ohio, and our big schools might draw four or five thousand fans for the state finals. Can you tell the readers what it is like to not only play in front of big crowds but also to have the experience of playing at the home of the Dallas Cowboys?

Playing in front of huge crowds is unreal. The state game we had had a total of 121,000 people come in total. We had 23,000 at our game, so the energy is different, and it makes every snap feel important. Playing at AT&T Stadium was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and something I’ll never forget.

How would you describe your style of play?

Fast, physical, and aggressive. I play with high effort every snap and bring intensity to the defense.

Why should a college coach recruit you?

I’m coachable, disciplined, and willing to outwork others. I bring leadership, toughness, and consistency, and I’m committed to improving every day.

Would you share with the readers how the recruiting process is going as well as some of the schools that you are hearing from?

The recruiting process is moving forward, and I’m staying patient and focused. I’ve been in contact with several college programs and continuing to build relationships with coaches. I have around 8 D2 offers and some D3s. I’m currently talking to a couple of D1s.

What scares you?

Not reaching my full potential. That’s what motivates me to keep pushing myself.

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

Spending time with family and friends, watching football, and staying active.

Who are your role models?

My parents.
